Barbeque Nation- Vile Parle East, Mumbai — Restaurant in Mumbai

We were looking for a quiet spot to have lunch in the scorching sun when we spotted Barbeque Nation near Vile Parle Station. It had been a while since our last visit, so we decided to relive old memories. They were featuring a special, limited-time Royal Rajasthani menu, which added to our excitement. The restaurant was fairly empty, and we were promptly seated. The signature tabletop grill was set up, and the flow of starters began. We especially enjoyed the fish and special kebabs, though the chicken starter didn’t quite meet expectations.

Our server, who changed midway through our meal, consistently checked in for feedback, which we appreciated. The main course was enjoyable, with the standout being the 'Laal Maas.' However, the mutton curry had very few pieces, and although I managed to find a couple of small bones, my wife requested a refill. They brought a small portion just for her, and as the restaurant filled up, we noticed they had restocked the dish, though too late for a second helping for me. I shared this feedback with the customer service representative the next day, hoping for improvement.

As for the highly anticipated Rajasthani menu, the Laal Maas is definitely worth trying. Other highlights were the Jodhpuri Mirchi Vada with lehsun ki chutney, and on the dessert counter, the Malpua with Rabdi was delicious. The Dal Bati Churma, however, didn’t quite live up to my expectations, possibly due to my familiarity with authentic Rajasthani versions.

The food quality is low compared to other few BBQ locations which provide the same taste and quality when opened, also less options on foods and sweets and staffs comes again and again asking about food quality and do you need more or needs to be repeated which I never scene in other BBQ locations and when I waited for food for almost an hour as it was not available which was went to refill and then they came came and said sorry where I was done with eating, then they parcel the stuff so that they don't get bad reviews, and after all this after making payment everyone came and asked for review and they insisted me to give excellent review so that they can get more customers and get hype with the review. Honestly please avoid going as it will spoil the mood. It was our wedding anniversary which we did not say looking at the environment as all the staff will come and ask about the food and try to be nice and it's not what I see in BBQ locations where I have been. Had to wait for someone to come and tell them non veg or veg so it's like 3 4 staff members come and ask. The BBQ nation I have been so far is where they will keep the starter on the table as soon as you sit and start the starter if it's veg or non veg accordingly and it keeps on repeating without telling them if you want to make any changes in it. On Sunday 30 June I had been for a date to the vile parle East outlet and we were warm welcomed with a good smile and a plate of Pani Puri. Then we were introduced to some mouth watering veg starters like the veg lollipop spicy potatoes and paneer as our nonveg starters were being prepared. I had ordered for a dahi puri and trust me it was one of the best ones I have ever eaten . During the evening we were taken care of very well the outlet manager and his team served us continuously non stop though it was getting busy it was quite impressive and there was hygiene . We tried 2 mocktails the geeleche and the spicy guava both were very tasty . We were given suggestions about the mango festive menu and we loved it personally .
