Barista — Restaurant in Mumbai

I wouldn't be sharing this experience here if the staff & management here ever considered a feedback to them rather making my poor experience public. I was visiting this Chembur outlet in my vicinity quite often for a few months and I learnt that most pple visit this place only because it has a good seating capacity, washroom & an outer seating space where one can smoke. With these perks comes alot of negative things like the irritating loud noise in the cafe making it difficult for you to share a conversation in person or over a call. Surprisingly its not the guests but the staff themselves who have been unnecessarily loud in the cafe over their personal issues.

Yet another thing I found most irritating is long gone from any other cafes is that some of the staff members is quite irritating when it comes to orders. Any guests in the cafe obviously knows that they are visiting for a beverage or food item and they need not be reminded every 10mins to place an order as one could be engrossed in some activity and planning to order a lil later. With me, I was on a work video call for about 25mins when 3 of their staff members came and said more than enough only bcoz I couldn't respond to them being on a work call. This kind of hospitality is not at all appreciated.

I hope now it reaches to right ears bcoz the Zomato reviews and ratings by other customers...

I have been a Barista , Chembur customer for over an year now, almost every day minimum I spend 5 hours here. The good thing about this place is the coffee is very good and they have option of payment through Swiggy or Zomato Gold where you can avail discounts ranging between 30 to 50 percent of the Bill except for bottled Beverages. There are charging points in almost all the tables , hence very comfortable to take the laptop and work. The Bad things are : 1. There is no parking space 2: There is only one rest room which is almost all the time occupied most probably by the Barista staff itself 3: When there are incoming calls from the Customers for booking orders their phone is connected to the house speakers and the ring is too loud and creates a disturbance. During mid day till late evening it is always noisy. If you plan to do some office work , then better be there say around 9 am until 12. Also, during 9 am cleaning staff makes too much of noise pulling the table for cleaning and it creates a loud noise.

Overall, it is a nice place , strategically located and good place for having business meeting, social meetings and also...

Had gone there today for dinner and some work. Had booking through Dineout at 7:30 pm. I had reached 10 mins before. Ordered coffee, but was not able to pay through dineout since payment slot opens only after 7:30 pm. So i requested them to make coffee and i said i ll pay after 5 mins, after the payment is enabled on dineout. But the cashier and store manager rudely asked to me come after 5 mins. I let this behaviour pass. Then i requested for a pen since i needed to write something urgently. But again was rudely denied. Since my laptop was already set on the table, i requested him to watch over for a few minutes so that i can run to the neighbouring medicine shop and get a pen. Again i was greeted with a no. The rude behaviour was really irritating and hence i skipped ordering and left the place. Really hate to say when brands like starbucks, third wave coffee and blue tokai are offering excellent quality and service, old classics like Barista are unable to do even offer basic courtesy and service. I would understand if the store was crowded, but the store was not even crowded and such poor service...
