Border Bean Barbecue — Restaurant in Mumbai

We got to know about this place from Instagram reels and few reviews on YouTube. It is difficult to find places with such food on the menu. We had decided that this one of the places we will surely visit. We reached little late on Saturday night and had to wait for about 30-40 minutes. This is a boutique place and I think it has a seating capacity of not more than 16-20. We had already looked at the menu online and were ready to start ordering. Pork belly burnt ends, sliced Brisket, Beef Brisket S/W & beef cheeseburger rolls all were flavourful and scrumptious. All of us relished these items the most and would probably say they are the best that we have ever had. We also tried the BBB's cheeseburger, Nashville fried chicken burger, 15 hour potato, crispy chilli mayo, buffalo fried chicken and filet mignon was good as well. Pork belly was tender, and outer was glazed, it was heavenly and so was the Brisket, it was so tender and juicy. We were overjoyed with the food and to top it off, we were given a choc pastry on the house which was very creamy and moist. The owner is friendly and provided good service. We couldn’t finish some of the brisket and we took it back to our hotel, next day morning, we took it out of the freezer and since we did not have a place to heat it, we just started eating it cold and to our surprise it was as flavourful and tender as it was a day before. Border Bean Barbecue, located on the inroads of Reclamation, is named for its apt fusion of smoky, meaty Continental flavours but with a large variety of vegetarian alternatives. Their menu is power-packed with delightful protein and sandwich options, including ribs and brisket, stuff that you'd only ever find at American steakhouses.

Chef Shantanu is doing wonders with the incredible menu. From taking orders, to running the kitchen, carving the meat and bringing the food out, he's constantly scurrying across the whole restaurant floor. It makes you appreciate his dedication to service, watching him work while you stuff your mouth with glazed meats. I had the Chorizo Mac and Cheese and Smoked Brisket and while this may not be much, I was STUFFED. It's such a heavy meal, laden with nutrients and made from only the best ingredients.

Border Bean Barbecue is not be a large shop. It's just big enough to seat 10-15 people on its 5 tables, but the space is utilized well. It's delighful to look at, with no part of the decor tacky or distracting. Also, their bathroom smells super freaking fresh, I was very surprised. This is the level of care and dedication that I expect at a restaurant, and I was pleasantly satisfied with this experience. All...

Tried the following

Brisket sandwiche - buff cooked and sliced to perfection that melts in your mouth with cold slaw and pickles seasoned to perfection.

15 hour potatoes- A must try , the best way I could describe this dish is thinly sliced layered potatoes which has a crispy and soft center.yummy in my tummy feeling.

Burnt end pork belly- Just melted the minute it touched my lips with the right amount of sweetness to compliment the meat.

Ghee roast chicken pie- A delicious chicken stuffing packed inside a crusty flakey buttery pastry.

Soft shell tacos with pulled pork- once again the Shell was pan fried to perfection where it was so flakey stuffed with meat cheese and served with this consommé (jus) which in itself was so flavourful that it took the dish to another level.

Chorizo mac and cheese - the perfect Mac and cheese I have tried in years.

Chocolate gateau and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is just delectable.

Everything about this places is outstanding.Hats off to the chef he clearly knows what he’s doing.
