Café Coffee Day — Restaurant in Mumbai

I have been visiting here since 2005. I visit this place minimum 3 times a week. From past 6 to 7 years this place has gone to dogs. In evening time the cafe is never cleaned since they don't have a cleaner person in second shift. There are huge rats roaming around. Cockroaches, flies, lizards are ample. Staff needs training on how to talk and behave as per hospitality industry. There were issues with forced cash transactions which seemed like some fraudulent activities taking place.

I never wanted to write this review since I consider this CCD as my second home. What has driven me now is that in the outside area there was a standing fan which was removed in December 2023. From March I have been requesting the management to put a fan as sitting outside in the summer was trauma. I have politely requested multiple times to Mr. Ben and Mr. Sourav Goenka. They have not been able to put one fan till date. Reason given is they are waiting for corporate office to give them a fan. It's been 4 months for one fan. Is CCD not in a position to provide a fan? Sourav has ignored to get back to me and ignored my messages. Very poor hospitality. When requested to give his management persons contact number, he has denied it and asked me to contact customer care. Customer care number is not going through.

I shall wait for a call back on this issue. My number is available with Mr. Sourav Goenka and Mr. Ben.

worst CCD i have ever been to...If the owner is reading this, I would request you kindly look into your staff. I ordered a coffee and a garlic bread and later asked the billing guy to also add a banana chips(Rs 60) to which the billing guy said i have already punched the bill so you can pay Rs 60 by cash or else i will have to make another bill. so i said thats ok you can make a separate bill for Rs 60 and i will pay you..after that he tried to fool me for sometime and said theres a issue you can pay me to my phonpe no. to which i again denied and said that i will pay by QR only to the company QR/ by card. He than got angry and misbehaved with me and said you cant talk to me like that " aap kya soch rae ho mai apne pocket me dalunga ye paise. mai ek product ka bill nahi bana sakta" I simply said " mujhe kuch nahi sunna hai... I will either pay to the company QR/ card machine and not to your personal no." Poor guy when he found out he has been caught was left with no choice and magically the billing system got okay and he accepted my paymemt with card. These people are just fooling the franchise owners and stealing...

The ambience is good but unlike other CCDs which is mostly crowded with college students, this place was mostly occupied by working class people . I had sizzle dazzle brownie which is a really good option to satisfy your sweet tooth. The feel of sizzler given by the hot chocolate brownie topped by vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce is a must try for those who have always been a fan of sizzler options . The other thing I tried was devil's own. I have been drinking this for ages and just for some experimenting I tried topping it with an extra chocolate scoop which I should not have done. The chocolate scoop in combination with the whipped cream did not produce a pleasant taste, but otherwise this frappe is one...
