Lucknow or the city of Nawabs is a paradise for foodies. Lucknow strongly dominates the culinary culture of our country with its profound traditional delicacies and spices. The reason why Lucknowi food is so popular and loved is the fact that traditional food is given a royal flavour and this awadhi custom is passed on since ages and will continue for the years to come.

Very recently ordered a Lucknowi meal from Chakh Le Lucknow. They have focussed on this particular segment and have maintained a very short crisp menu.

When you think about Lucknow, its majorly a fare for the nonvegetarians especially meat lovers however this kitchen has dishes for the vegetarians too.

What I ordered

VEG GALOUTI

As desired ! Melt in the mouth Galoutis. I dont eat mutton hence opted for the vegetarian ones. These strongly had flavour of black pepper and cooked to perfection. It's a blasting melange of flavours.

CHICKEN ROLL

Very spicy but delicious. Generous portion of chicken with lots of onion wrapped in a flour roll. It would be ideal in a multigrain roti as alot of people avoid maida these days. Tasted good with mint chutney.

CHICKEN LUCKNOWI BIRYANI

Very flavourful as I had thought of it. Served with smooth curd. The chicken pieces can be better and fleshy as these were very boney. Quality should improve.

CHICKEN KORMA

This was my favourite dish amongst all. Loved the spices used and consistency of gravy. Recommended.

As the name suggests, the menu is dominated by Lucknowi specialities like kebabs and Biryani's. Although it has very limited options for the vegetarian's I still liked the food here. A special mention to thhe way they pack their food, in good quality air tight containers which make sure there's no leakage.

Veg Gulawati Kebab

The gulawati kebabs were absolutely amazing. As soon as you open the container, there'll be this aroma which comes along with it, tempting you to get your hands on it asap .These melt in the mouth delicacies were flavored with a mix of Indian spices, and served along with mint chutney. It leaves you with a kick after savoring the last bite. A must order for vegetarian's !

Paneer Laziz

The yellow gravy in itself doesn't have very strong flavors but the finely chopped chillies made it a bit spicy. Tender pieces of paneer immersed in this delectable gravy is a good pick.

Veg Navratna Biryani

The biryani could have been better for me. It was very mild with barely any seasoning to it. They put raw paneer which further added to pulling down the flavour.

Had a chance to taste the food which was appreciated by one of my friend residing in Powai. Hence, ordered finally. Non veg combo meal, The mutton curry was an interesting one, the spices were perfectly blended together, served with ulta paratha. While receiving it was perfectly hot and not to cold as you usually experience with delivery. Which was the highlight as well. Murgh boti kebab. This is one of my favorite appetizer, usually you will easily find this dish in restaurants that serve kebabs. It was quite tender and succulent in the inside which usually isnt the case which was quite impressive. On the other hand the masala was bit on spicier side which i was fine, and overal it was neatly cooked and delicious as well.3. Luknowi dum biryani Who would say no to a biryani like this, as soon as i opened the box the hot aroma took my breath away. Describing this in bit poetic way, but thats how i experienced it.Overall the quality and quantity were both satisfying and the food was hot at the time of delivery which is one of the highlight.
