Wok Express is one of the early entrants in the Pan-Asian QSR scene. Their journey started in May 2015 with 5 outlets in the 1st year and after 3 years of being in business, they boast of 20+ outlets in Mumbai itself. I was invited by the management of Wok Express for try out their menu and review them, the choice was outlet was left to me and chose the Chembur outlet. Wok Express at Chembut is located in Cubic Mall of C G Road. The shopping mall is quite a known / famous landmark in that locality. The ambience is pretty good, nothing fancy though. They have laid out multiple wooden tables with wooden stools. The lighting is pretty ambient and focuses on food on the table. CHILI MUSHROOM BAO [INR 125] A Bao is steamed rolled bread which is very popular is Chinese cuisine. You can eat it after stuffing it with any filling one wants. The Bao which I ordered had a thick stuffing of slices mushrooms cooked in a tangy tomato base with some chili sauce. The filling was nice & juicy but the flavor of the chili was lacking. It need not have been spicy but the presence should have been felt. TANUKI DUMPLING [INR 160] A wonderful steamed dumpling which was basically a wonton sheet wrapped with finely chopped spring onion and some assorted vegetables. It was served topped with some chili oil & soy chili sauce. They flavor of this dish was wonderful and was served on a bed of tempura crumbs. RECOMMENDED CRISPY WATERCHESTNUT [INR 225] This dish is combination of waterchestnut & baby corn fried in a corn batter. The fried balls are then tossed in a Kung Pao sauce and served topped with fried cashew nuts. The flavor & crunch of the dish was amazing. RECOMMENDED VEG GREEN THAI CURRY WITH RICE [INR 160] I was disappointed with this preparation. The preparation of Thai Curry does involve the use of Kaffir Lime & Galangal which is used for imparting a certain flavor to the curry, which I found missing big time from the curry served at Wok Express. The curry has a certain degree of sweetness and thickness which is derived from the coconut milk used, this also was missing. PERSONAL BOX [INR 165] I chose a Personal Box in a small size with flat wheat noodles, chili pepper sauce, fried onion, cilantro, bean sprouts, button mushrooms, tofu and spring onion. Red Chili Pepper sauce was supposed to be slightly spicy but the sauce used here was not spicy. The overall mixture was nice and tossed well but again I guess the undoing was the rancid crushed peanuts. It gave out a slightly odd aroma to the preparation hence I returned the preparation and was taken back by the Manager without a question. The service level was pretty good. I placed the order for all dishes at a time to enable them to serve better. They could do better is spacing the order so that the customer can consume the first serving and then move to the next dish. Wok Express delighted me in some dishes and equally disappointed me in some. The good ones were really good and they need to look into the areas of improvement especially the use of ingredients like Peanuts which end up spoiling the entire dish; it was a mixed bag experience for me Food Quality – 3/5 Food Qunatity – 3.5/5 Ambiance – 3.5/5 Service – 3.5/5 Price – NA [I did not pay for the meal, since it was a review by invitation but the prices are pocket friendly]

Craving for some delicious Chinese or Asian cuisines- give this place a try. A perfect place for your cravings. Tried few of the food items along with drinks. It was a good experience. Spicy garlic chicken: chicken pieces tossed in the wok and mixed well with the spices. However taste failed to bring any charm, but for the garlic feel it can be given a try. Schezwan chicken bao: delicious and that's all. Two pieces of baos in one serving. The schezwan feel was great. A must try. Crunchy vegetable dumpling: Comes in with sweet, cheesy, and tangy sauce. Dumplings were delicious. Soft and luscious. Assorted vegetable dumplings: This one with was schezwan sauce. Better than the previous dumpling choice. Crunchy chicken dumpling: With sweet, tangy, and cheesy sauce, the Dumpling goes well. However the crunchiness was missing, yet the dumplings are worth giving a try. Minty mojito: A disaster. Not a good choice. Missed the mint feel. Not recommend. Peach ice tea: Again, not a great choice. I feel, they put more emphasis on food than on the drinks. Just simple and plain without peach feel. Lemon ice tea: This was the third drink, I tried, and again disappointment is what I got. Veg personal bowl: A great option to choose from. In bowl options, you can choose your base as per your requirement. With base, you can choose the sauce of your choice and toppings of your choice. I tried multigrain noodles with fried onions, burnt garlic, crushed peanuts, spring onions. In veggies, I had baby corn, zucchini, mushroom. This bowl was one of the best things, I had at this place. A highly recommend option. Overall, this place is wonderful if you want to cherish your taste buds with Asian and Chinese cuisines. The drinks however disappointed us a bit, the food nicely covered up for that.

Located at cubic mall in the cubic mall, chembur. Ambience consisted of dim lights and its spacious as far as accommodation is concerned. I was invited along with another blogger and we both ordered peach bubble tea, minty mojito and ramen noodles ,paneer chilly. Honestly paneer chilli was at par while ramen noodles was on the spicier side , properly fried, the veggies were crisp. The amusing peach bubble tea created curiousity about wok express. Mojito was fair enough. They recommended us paneer bau and its dough was sweet. Staff was friendly and prices are affordable. Considering the taste ,it was great visiting wok express. Give it a visit.

Amazing staff The cubic mall is not big at a normal mall concept but it tightly holds one of the best branches like burgerking and wok express .

Wok express is an north asian cuisine provider and does its job perfectly, many great variety of options ranging from 4 types of noodles to rice to soups and sides like momos and bao and also promotes healthier variety of drinks which are bubble teas and drinks which consist of normal drinks with tapioca balls which are japanese natural jelly obtained from a tree .

The staff is excellent and friendly and cope up with orders long or short and do their best To please the customers and fill their stomachs and dont take a lot of time .

The cleanliness is at top level with with no signs of pests, or any unhygienic spots in the restraunt skilled chefs wear a head cap, gloves and apron and cook with atmost care of the hygiene and the kitchen too is very clean

The best part i like about wok express is their make ur own wok with 3 sizes personal, medium, large and u can choose variety of of ingrediants from noodles to vegatbles and sauces to sides its all there. I would suggest if u want to have dilated north asian food its a great place as its not authentic but its tasty delicious food with great prices and a vast field of options to choose from . I could not get any pictures as i lost my phone battery, and last but not the least my favourite thing is they also have chopsticks for the fancy eaters like me . Hope u found my review...
