Disha Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Mumbai

I am big fan of the south styled mumbai bars. The place is not plush but they have a seprate AC section. Mostly the crowd consists od men but well behaved. Such establishments always do very good crowd management. My friend, his wife and I went there. Perfectly comfortable. The staff is very good, very attentive. There is a definite personal touch in the service. The food is dependable. You get what you expect. The service nis very fast. Sea food is quite nice. The bathroom, as expected is not up to the mark. May be women might not be too keen to use. This becomes an issue considering it is a bar first. It is also among the fewer Non- veg joints in the area. Definitely the best 'middle class' bar in the area. It is at the core of Mumbai drinking culture. No music. Just a tv playing a random old movie or song. This bar does not serve good. I have been a regular customer here during noon hours. I first time visit this bar during evening hours between 5pm to 11pm. I paid a bill of 3k. But after consuming these much alcohol i just felt like putting my head down on my seat for 20mins just so that I can relax and then leave home on my 2 wheeler. But after i slept the Manager on the counter stole my phone and kept it in the locker. When I woke up after 20mins i asked him where was my phone he said that it is stolen by someone. I asked him to show me the CCTV footage. But he denied. Then he said if you need your phone then pay us Rs.3000. I argued why? I said i have already paid a Bill of Rs.3000 with a tip or Rs.300. But he still took Rs.2000 to give me my phone back which was worth Rs.80000.

Pathetic place with no hygiene at all the bar is open from 6 am in the morning time the watchman Deepak serves alcohol until the bar usually opens at 10 am till then he says he serves alcohol with the regular non ac price however he is a liar and a cheat usually for eg cost of Lp Strong beer is 260 rupees in the menu he sells it for 300 rupees same he does with other Alcohol so which means if u have 2 beers he will keep 80 rupees extra for himself plus he wants a tip for 50 rupees for himself avoid going there early morning places like Sai Prasad are much better options which is actually open 24 by 7 rather than this...
