Eating places are often judged on decor and comfort. Edward Restaurant belongs to the old school Irani restaurants where simple food is offered at extremely affordable prices for the common man. It's not supposed to be an "eating out" experience but more of a place where one goes to for a reasonably priced meal - maybe even everyday. The Kheeema Pav is fantastic. So are the Chutney Egg potato patties and Kheema Potato patties. These are home made and worth a try. The best place to go to for affordable Dhansak and that too it’s available everyday . The Irani tea is quite good , as it served pipping hot and that too strong . Did try the Chicken Dhansak,was not bad , but was not great as What other Cafes serve . And it’s quite affordable, compared to other Irani Cafes in South Bombay .
