Era is located off Link Road Andheri West and it is near Fun Republic.
The restaurant is spacious with one the best ambiance made. They have created an old Italian jazzy bar theme which looks extremely beautiful. Loved every space from the moment you enter as they have really made every corner perfectly. The huge bar looks perfect. The lights with chandelier and every walls have different elements used. The DJ console is nicely placed with a huge piano. Also the seatings are nicely arranged with options for all size of groups. So overall the vibe and the restaurant is just beautiful and perfect.
They specialise in multi cuisine hence options from Asian and Indian cuisines are available. Loved the menu as it covers a variety of dishes. Prices are at par with similar type of high end restaurants and the quantity served is good.
Went here on a Wednesday dinner and trust me the music played was outstanding and it didn’t felt like it was a Weekday. The kitchen service was on time and the table service by staff Vishal & Shubham was smooth.
What We Had - APPETISERS~ Sanpai Chicken - Chicken with mushrooms and veggies tossed in chilli sauce tasted good. Loved the juicy chicken as the sauce in it tasted really good. Even the sauce was chilly garlic based it didn’t had strong flavours.
Chicken & Prawn Shu Mai Dimsum - Perfect outer covering and generously filled with prawns and chicken tasted amazing. The freshness and juiciness was great and eating this with chilli oil was simply divine.
Shrimp Tempura Roll - Fresh prawns, avocado, tempura crunch and spicy sauce on the topped tasted outstanding. Everything about the sushi was perfect and we loved eating every piece of this.
Truffle Parsley Chicken - Juicy chicken tikka with parsley pesto marination tasted nice as the chicken was flavourful and the grilling was perfect however I missed the taste or aroma of truffle in this.
MAINS~ Truffle Mushroom Fried Rice - Simple and tasty. This had sticky rice with mushrooms and edamame along with truffle oil drizzle. Overall this was perfect as the truffle oil was excellent and the rice plus mushrooms had nice earthy flavours.
Chicken Masala with Truffle Garlic Naan - Surprisingly good as the gravy tasted really nice. Not too tangy but it was lightly spicy. Eating this with naan was perfect.
DESSERTS~ Saffron Tres Leches. Era Millionaire Brownie. Between both the desserts the Saffron Tres Leches was the best. The brownie was decent as I found it a little dry.
MOCKTAILS~ Passionfruit Ice Tea. Kankitsurui. Yuzu Galangal Mojito. The drinks were made nicely and no complaints here.
So our meal at Era Andheri West was one of the memorable experiences as the food was perfect, the service was excellent and topping all this the vibe of the place is fantastic. Hence you should...
Read moreHaving been here 5 times in the past 3 months has given me a different experience each time. The ambience is cozy and nice. The music is decent up until 8.30 pm after which they pick up pace and start giving club vibes instead of a lovely restaurant and lounge. So not suitable for conversations in the evenings.
The service is nice until the servers keep interrupting between the conversations for feedback on every single dish, and also to share their own views in between the tables conversation. That's honestly not okay.
The food is lovely mostly, except for the desserts. Every time we tried a new dessert, it was a new disappointment. The house mocktails and cocktails are quite nice. And, giving an honest feedback may also be met with an explanation of how one needs to appreciate the food offered instead. Yes that happened with us over desserts and a broccoli tikka. Just avoid it.
The turnip cake in thai chilli is amazing although they never seem to have it anymore. The dynamite prawns are delicious according to a friend, the truffle mushroom and cream cheese sushi, shrimp tempura sushi, pan seared veg gyoza, kung pao cottage cheese bao are absolutely amazing! Also, do not miss the Korean cream cheese bun!
The Korean chilli potato, vegetable crystal dimsum and creamy broccoli tikka don't have any flavour according to us. The tikkas are a bit disappointing as well as it's not actually from a tandoor or given enough time to catch onto any flavour. You can also spot the handmade ho fan noodles that has novelty of being handmade but it was a bit bland for our taste.
In mains, the chilli garlic fried rice, classic hakka noodles and Malaysian noodles are amazing! Even the Teriyaki bowl and pan fried noodle bowl is...
Read moreNewest Hot Spot in Andheri. With so many restaurants in Andheri West area, it is difficult to stand out. But this Bar and Kitchen; Era stands out and how. The decor is extremely chic. Their Welcome note rightly says that 'Era is an ode of Elegance and Allure.' For food, we decided to whole hog from a great eclectic menu comprising of various Asian and Indian dishes. Though I wanted to go for Japanese Rice Lager, but the barman to boast his skills suggested some cocktails. I picked Weekend in Colima, which is something that I have never had. My companion chose Gin based Seoul Fool. We thanked the barman for his suggestions. For Food, we had soup (Solo Ayam), Salad (Japanese Avocado), Starters (Pandan Leaf Wrapped Chicken), Sushi (Dragon Roll), Dim Sum (Chicken & Prawn Sui Mai), Crispy Mushroom Cheung Fun. With no space left and as is virtually mandatory, we called for Rice (Blue Pea Jasmine Rice). Food was just extra-ordinary. With the promise to ourselves that we will come again perhaps many times, to try out most of their dishes. Looks a great place, whether you are dining with just one person or partying with friends as they have sections that can accommodate from 6 persons to 20...
