Global Fusion in Chembur, Mumbai, lives up to its name by offering a sprawling, multi-cuisine buffet experience that aims to take diners on a culinary journey across various Asian and international flavors. Located in the Meraki Arena on Sion Trombay Road, it's a popular choice for those seeking a grand dining experience, often for celebrations or large gatherings.
The ambiance at Global Fusion Chembur is typically opulent and spacious, designed to accommodate a large number of guests comfortably. Expect elegant decor with influences of Asian design, often featuring warm lighting and tasteful elements that create a refined atmosphere. It's a place that feels grand, setting the stage for an elaborate meal.
The true highlight of Global Fusion is its extensive buffet spread. While there's a strong emphasis on Pan-Asian cuisine, you'll find a wide array of dishes from Japanese (especially their sushi and sashimi bar), Chinese (dim sums, stir-fries), and Thai. The live counters were a special attraction where chefs prepare dishes like Teppanyaki (grilled prawns, fish, chicken) to order, adding an interactive element to the dining. Beyond Asian, there's usually a significant Indian section with popular North Indian favorites like butter chicken, dal makhani, and various paneer dishes, along with biryanis and fresh Indian breads. Some continental options and a generous dessert section, including a variety of pastries and sometimes live jalebi counters, complete the experience.
Service, while generally polite, was a bit slow, especially considering the restaurant at full capacity, which is often the case. However, the sheer variety of food usually keeps diners engaged. The cost for two is on the higher side, but for the extensive buffet spread and the overall experience, i would consider it good value, particularly for special occasions.
Key Highlights:
Vast Buffet Spread: An impressive array of Pan-Asian, Indian, and some international cuisines. Sushi and Sashimi Bar: A major draw for lovers of Japanese cuisine. Live Counters: Interactive cooking stations for Teppanyaki and more. Opulent Ambiance: Spacious and elegantly designed for a grand dining experience. Variety of Desserts: A wide selection to conclude your meal.
Service was a bit slow during peak hours. Pricing is on the higher end, though justified by the buffet's scale. I'd definitely recommend booking a table in advance and reach there in time to enjoy the luxurious dining experience.
Overall, Global Fusion in Chembur is a destination restaurant for those who enjoy a lavish buffet with a diverse range of high-quality Asian and Indian dishes in a grand setting. It's ideal for a celebratory meal or a feast with family and friends.

Read moreI recently visited the new Global Fusion in Chembur, expecting the same standard of service and courtesy found in their other branches. Unfortunately, the reality was downright disappointing.
One of the first red flags was the demand for payment even before we were seated. I’ve dined at other Global Fusion locations and have never encountered this policy. It’s as if they don’t trust customers in this new location, which is both insulting and unprofessional. A restaurant of this reputed brand and price range should know better than to start off by making patrons feel like potential defaulters.
Moreover, We specifically informed the staff multiple times about our daughter’s egg allergy. We asked them to either avoid placing any egg-based dishes on our table or at least inform us before we tried anything containing egg. Despite repeated reminders, the waiter kept insisting that the food was egg-free. However, their knowledge seemed questionable at best—no one appeared to have actually confirmed with the chef. As soon as we left, my daughter showed signs of an allergic reaction and eventually vomited her meal. This level of carelessness in a so-called “luxury” restaurant is utterly inexcusable.
Global Fusion markets itself as an upscale dining experience, which comes with a hefty price tag. Yet the Chembur branch’s attitude and service felt more like a cheap cafeteria—minus the honesty and care you’d expect even there. When you’re charging premium prices, the least you can do is show respect toward your customers, address their concerns responsibly, and honor your own brand’s reputation. Until they overhaul their staff training, revise this condescending payment policy, and start taking their patrons’ well-being seriously, I see no...
Read moreGlobal Fusion Chembur, delivers the ultimate Japanese fine dining experience in Mumbai. Having explored almost every Japanese restaurant in the city, I can say that none come close to what this one offers in terms of pricing, quality, quantity, and that irresistible umami flavor.
What sets Global Fusion apart is its unbeatable buffet, the only chain in India to include sushi and sashimi at such an affordable price. Their sashimi counter is a revelation featuring both salmon and tuna—a rarity you typically only find in Southeast Asia. Not even Wasabi by Morimoto at the Taj matches this kind of sashimi spread!
The starters are a flavor packed umami delight, but the real star here is Chef Sandeep. His sushi creations are unparalleled—easily the best I’ve had in India. His rolls are masterfully crafted with a delicate balance of flavors. The sweetness of rice vinegar perfectly complements the sourness of cream cheese, while the oceanic richness of salmon is enhanced by the saltiness of soy sauce and the heat of wasabi. Chef Sandeep’s personal touch elevate the dining experience every single time making you feel like an honored guest.
For seafood lovers, this is paradise. They offer over 12 varieties of fish in the buffet, and the best part? They don’t use cheap basa.
Their desserts are super good too, I love their delicate coconut milk pudding and mango shots.
The ambience is chill, and the restaurant’s commitment to treating its staff well is evident—the team is always smiling and welcoming.
Global Fusion Chembur is worth every rupee you spend. Whether it’s the unbeatable sashimi, more than 100 dishes, or the personalized touch from Chef Sandeep, this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese and...
