Govindas Veg Treat — Restaurant in Mumbai

Wish we could give this place less than one star, we had come for a PARTY order of around 10 persons and did billing of ABOVE Rs 3000/-

here is our experience in the AC section of this restaurant:

1. after giving the order for starters we waited for the 40 mins for the starters to come (hara bhara kabab) which was not worth the wait at all.
2. with the pulav the curd raita we got after everyone had completed the pulav- ( veg pulav had only dried green peas - vegetables missing) it was DRIED PEAS PULAV.
3. we ourselves had to make sitting arrangements as there was no staff/manager/waiter available, as there is just one cleaner who does all work right from taking food order to serving food to cleaning the plates.
4. there were mosquitoes biting the guests...despite their repeated request to the manager at the counter nothing was done...lets hope none of us gets DENGUE
5. our guests had to keep nagging for water to the waiter/cleaner.. we were given plastic glasses and luke warm water and when we asked for cold water we were told that "cold water is over"
6. in the AC section the AC was not working so the ceiling fans were switched on at full speed... when asked to reduce fan we were told that there is no "regulator" for the fan and the AC works at this temperature (27 degrees) only.
7. the fry papad costs Rs 30/- which is actually BURNT papad

The rates which they charge for the AC section are also premium as we get much better service and food at places like Veg Treat , Springfields , Status Restaurant, Green Channel, etc.

the VALUE FOR MONEY for this place is in negative.

even after spending so much money overall we had a very bad experience and were actually surprised that in this global age there are still some organisations who think that they can escape the responsibility of giving a good experience to customers who are paying EXTRA money for...

First of all, I had ordered for the first time from Zomato Food Ordering App and I Must it was a Great Experience since I got a full flat 50 percent off since I was ordering the first time. The delivery guys of Zomato are perfectly on time and I was so impressed by these guys that next time ordering only from Zomato. Now coming to the restaurant I had ordered two combos from the restaurant since it was running an offer. The first one was Tawa Pulao combo where the combo consisted of Tawa Pulao, One Aloo Paratha and A glass of Buttermilk with the cost being only Rs.99 for the combo (without GST of course). The taste of the Foodstuffs was excellent and the quantity was really sufficient so as two people could easily have the combo. Next was the Veg. Lajawab combo which had the Veg. Lajawab along with 2 Butter Rotis same at Rs. 99. The vegetable tasted really good and was perfect and taste and as I had given a special instruction of making it less spicy the restaurant had appropriately taken care of the same. Bland and Disappointing Veg Pulao – Not Worth the Visit

Visited this restaurant hoping for a flavorful, satisfying meal, but was completely let down. I ordered the veg pulao, and it was honestly one of the most tasteless dishes I've ever had. No aroma, no spices, no depth of flavor – just plain, overcooked rice with a few scattered vegetables. It felt like the chef forgot every ingredient that makes a pulao worth eating.

I couldn’t finish it because it was that bland. For a dish that’s supposed to be rich in flavor and fragrance, this was a total failure.

Definitely won’t be coming back. If they can’t get something as basic as pulao right, I don't have much confidence in the rest...
