Tight House — Restaurant in Mumbai

I am writing this review in anticipation from the management to take some action n get the things sorted or else you would come across to many such critical reviews like me in future.. Service is topmost thing which one seeks for when you visit any restaurants/pub, but here service was so pathetic , seriously one of worst I have seen in my life.. I along with my friend visited this place late on Sat eve .. Place was almost pack.. They have small non ac section as well as bit bigger ac section.. Non ac section was bit shady whereas interior in AC section is decent.. We first were denied entry in AC section saying stags are not allowed inside.. When I saw plenty of stags there I had debate with waiter n later manager intervened n allowed us to sit in AC section.. Now the drama I had to face.. Ordered for 650ml Kingfisher beer bottle n hot one was served.. Requested waiter to get cold one when he gets another one.. when I placed order for another one he told me there is chilled bottle available only in budwiser.. Even though it was expensive I called for it.. He served me chilled glass from 650ml bottle n I requested him to keep half bottle to freeze so that I can have it chilled later.. So he took my half bottle to keep it in freezer.. After sometime told him to get that bottle back n he filled my glass from it.. I found something fishy so asked him to hand me bottle n to my surprise it was totally new bottle fully filled n was not at all chilled.. When I asked him where is my bottle waiter simply said "tumko glass se Matlab na, woh bhar k diya na".. C'mon who does such.. I have been to so many places but this was weird.. Even when we ordered for cheese corn croquettes waiter simply said order something else.. I asked him what's wrong in ordering it, then he said me it's not available so order something else.. He could have said straight that its not available so please order something else .. Seriously I felt like I was in some roadside bar.. Please do teach staff how to talk with patrons.. Waiter was so much glued to watching IPL match shown on lcd TV out here that had to call him several times to get his attention.. There is big screen in non ac section where also one can enjoy watching live sporting events.. Had szechuan French fries here which was decent n quantity was good .. My experience was seriously terrible out here.. I could feel most were here because its far from crowded Borivali area on the road to gorai n also drinks n food is bit on...

Located on the main road, right beside the Maxus Cinema mall, this place is easy to access and has adequate parking for 2 and 4 wheelers to be accommodated in front of their premises itself. Tight house has both air conditioned and non air conditioned seating options. Smoking is only permitted in the non airconditioned section. Ambience is more of an everyday local resto-bar kind and is simple and uncluttered. Seating options include standard table-chairs and high bar stools which can be a bit uncomfortable after a period of time. TV screens usually screen sports or music videos and are in plenty within the premises. Music is louder and better in the air-conditioned section with mostly premixed collections being played. It tends to get louder in the last few hours its closing time. Live singers perform here too, usually on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Alcohol is available in all kinds and almost all drinks are available for serving. Cocktails are highly priced and could be prepared much better. Food however remains a bit disappointing and fails to amaze. Portion sizes for starters are extremely small and at times not made upto the mark. Pizzas, pastas and other mainstream orders remain decent to consume. Also, do place order well in advance during the rush hours as the waiting staff can be hard to find. They seem to be a bit inattentive and are not well briefed on the food that they are serving. Summing it up, I'd say this a a casual place to have a quick drink/bite, but could do...

We placed an order for butter chicken and roti, the waiter brought butter garlic chicken as he heard it wrong. Instead of accepting his mistake and returning the order, he started to convince us to have butter garlic chicken which he wanted to bill us. It felt like I was putting much more effort in telling the waiter why I cant have this dish and the manager didn't even question his waiter about the screw up.

A group of uncles came to the place, they were not comfortable to sit on high chairs, so the bunch of hotel staff idiots asked me and my wife to move to the high chairs in the corner. Just because it was me and my wife vs the 4 uncles, they assumed 4 uncles would get a larger bill and the idiots decided to fulfil their wish. Instead of shifting we straight away walked out of the place and not even a single hotel staff approached us to apologise, they just stood there and watched us.

The hotel staff dont even care for the guests. I used to visit this place atleast once in two weeks. Most of the staff knew me as I was their regular customer, but still they chose to behave this way. Avoid this place if you can coz they think being arrogant and being polite is the same.
