It was a culinary bonanza to delve into a fabulous Sunday Brunch @itcgrandcentral along with the major highlight of Goan Popup by Chef Sarita all the way from ITG Grand Goa. While interaction with her I saw utmost enthusiasm, passion to preserve cultural influence of Goan Food. Located at Parel this Plush and elegant property has a beautiful architect that will take you to the history with present style touch to it. Hornby's Pavillion is the place where you find numerous amount of dishes offered under Sunday Brunch. As soon I arrived I saw a perfect spread not overly done or under the mark. It was perfect why I said this because the chefs maintain quality over quantity in this spread. While the focus was on Goan Food I was accompanied by my colleague and he was thoroughly enjoyed the nonveg preparations specially fish and prawn made dishes. And I enjoyed the vegetarian food which was perfectly home style with perfect blend of spices and ingredients. Right from soup to Salads then cheese section followed by main course and sum it up over desserts, everything was arranged systematically. I experienced freshness in every dish. Whether it's chaat or Salads. Lemon Coriander soup was a great start with assorted freshly baked breads. Roti served hot and soft. Biryani had a beautiful aroma of rice and veggies. Number of options in desserts which I taste everything and shaahi Tukda and yogurt dry fruits being my favorite amongst the spread.  Watermelon juice was fresh with no added water and peach iced tea accompanied well during all the eating. Usually we find huge Spread on Sunday Brunch but sometimes restaurant tend to lose some quality in few dishes which is not the case here. My focus was preparations done by Chef Sarita and it was a pure delight. A big shout out to Chef Sarita for scrumptious spread, big thank you to @itcgrandcentral for hosting me. It was a perfect Sunday which I can ever think of.

Felt like visiting a cheap 1 star hotel.. Food quality was disgusting, hospitality very bad, Ambience was pathetic and would not recommend this restaurant ever.. Being a Club Culinaire member, I regret even visiting this restaurant.. Ordered Non-spicy food for my son - after 30 mins - they cooked a spicy one and gave.. Order North Indian food for self - seemed like stale food and waiters were not even interested in serving or listening.. When asked for feedback form from Mr.Fabian - He gives me a piece of paper of some banquet form and that also after waiting for 10-15 mins.. and states - this is it.. and thn gives me reason that Some QR code doesn’t work and blah blah.. How is this restaurant even working?? Pathetic and poor quality overall.. Highly disappointed and waste of money..

Chef M Rajan - legend , Master Chef at the ITC Since it was a Onam Spread , The Menu was curated by by the legend himself. His dedication is amazing/Energy wow. At this age 90 - the delicious Dosas and Apam apart from going to each and every table taking feedback of the guests. very Few or rather any i have seen at this age been so active and dedicated. Hats off Chef.

Ambiance was just festive - they had the banana leaf placed on each table. One can go eat with the hand or take a plate which also had a small banana leaf. The entrance was decorated well. All in all the moment you entered you were in for a treat.

Back to the Onam Festival - It was a Vegetarian affair. ITC this year celebrated the festival at all their Itc Hotels over India. Here they had it at the Hornby's Pavilion. Yes there were some dishes which were Non Veg for the House Guests but main theme was the ONAM delicacies.

Parupu Thalichathu - lentil Curry Erussery - Red Pumpkin Plantain in Coconut South Indian Style Corn Salad Pyaru Tovaram - Runner Beans Tossed with coarse paste of coconut and chili. Puli Inji - Tamarind and Ginger ( spicy ) and Yum Urlai Curry - Potato and Karampodi Curry. Vellappam - Banana and rice Flour ( a bit on the sweeter side ) Yella Adai Bagala Bhath Sevaya - Curd rice Parippu Pradhaman - sweet Plus they had some other dishes. Even the Appam and stew/Dosa and some classic Onam dishes. Not to forget the Filter coffee.

Kerala Rice ( loved this ) short grain rice a bit red and easy to digest, goes well with Puli Inji - There was one more Chutney which was like Puli Inji made of Small onions and Tamarind. Also Some Normal Curd Rice with south Indian Tadka and other dishes can't remember.

A section of papads which goes well with their food.

All in all a great sunday at the ITC. A great festival Lunch and i hope they continue this tradition every...
