However, the waiter should have made it clear that the accompaniment was not available with the dish and was available for an extra charge. These small minute details make the difference between a negative experience and a positive one, in the service industry. No matter what explanation is given later by the managemement (who sided with the waiter) a customer is not there to listen to how tactfully you present your side. He is there expect the basic courtesy of being informed clearly what's available and in what way.

I ordered the chicken fry thali and was truly disappointed upon seeing its dish color, which resembled more of a Goan fish curry rather than chicken. It turned out to be chicken fried in fish curry gravy, and the taste was not up to par. The gravy served with the thali was also lacking in flavor. Additionally, the pomfret fry I ordered was okay but too small for its price. Furthermore, they charged over Rs. 100/- for just one small bowl of rice. If you're looking to waste your money, then this is the place to go. I had hoped for better taste after their renovation, but I swear the old taste was far superior. The parcel counter was unmanned, and the restaurant was not even half full. I should have chosen Gomangak, Chaitnya, or Jai Hind hotel, where you get premium food at the same price. This comfortable n homely restaurant has left the best impression! Hospitable host (owners, Prashant Bhingarde n his son, Asit) delicious n wide variety of seafood, vegetarian n non-vegetarian dishes, well served by stewards and apt choice of dessert … more importantly, all very reasonably priced.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is welcoming and charming. Well lit, well ventilated (has a/c section n non-a/c section). Amazing food and service. Staff are knowledgeable and make good recommendations.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant. The owner truly cares about your experience.
The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted has left a lasting impression. Absolutely the best meal we had in a long time.
