Hotel Vihar — Restaurant in Mumbai

I have given 3 star to resturant vihar because resturant is reasonably good. I have tried mostly all veg restaurant in Santacruz East. I ll give 2nd best veg restaurant in Santacruz East.

Restaurant is quite need and clean, they serve fresh meal even the gravy of panner. I have not given 5 star because you have very limited vegetable (sabji) compare to hotel gopal krishna. Food price is almost same. Sitting area is slightly gives you discomfort but it is fine. I have ordered in dinner "vihar special kadai" , chapati and plain rice.

Chapati is very good and because of that also vihar is 2nd best resturant. You will not find chapati in Santacruz East. 1.vihar and 2. Sadicha is giving chapatis.

Vegetable "vihar special kadai" contain, mushroom, french beans , flower in red gravy. Overall experience in good

I visited Hotel Vihar yesterday for lunch, and it was a delightful experience! Conveniently located near both the Santacruz East railway and metro stations, it’s a great spot for a quick meal or a relaxed break.

We ordered Roti, Methi Matar Malai, and Aloo Paratha. The food was simply amazing—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The Methi Matar Malai had the perfect blend of creaminess and subtle sweetness, while the Aloo Paratha was well-stuffed, crispy on the outside, and paired beautifully with their chutneys. But the highlight of our meal? The tea! It was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time—strong, aromatic, and exactly how chai should be.

The service was prompt, and the overall vibe was cozy and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone craving homely, tasty food in the Santacruz area. Looking forward to...

I ordered a masala dosa. When it arrived I immediately spotted a hair strand cooked with the batter. Also, I was unhappy with the quality. The batter was not cooked well, there was barely any masala in it & it was so oily. I returned the order due to the hair strand. I asked the person who took my order to request the cook to add a little extra batter to cook it well & add a decent amount of masala. To my disappointment, the second masala dosa I received was worse as the masala seemed even less. I could see so much oil (refer to the image uploaded). I gave my feedback to the person taking my order and to the owner. They seemed very casual. My family has been a customer for ages. I'm disappointed and won't come here...
