IVY — Restaurant in Mumbai

We have been going to IVY for the past 10 years to celebrate special occasions. The food is always at par - however, our experience this time turned sour for 2 reasons: We had booked a table for 6 a day before and I had specified a table for specific reasons - however, an hour before I receive a call that if we do not reach by the specific time our specific table will be released - for which I said that we may be delayed by a bit - we were told in a rude tone that should we not come on time our table will be released. We reached 10 mins from the scheduled time and Manager Tejas did not accommodate our specified table and also the restaurant was not in its full capacity. We finished dinner In a couple of hours and it was then we saw the table just getting filled - later we saw that there was preference given to the owner's son Toshins friends to reserve the table over guests who take trouble to book the table a day in advance and also ensuring going physically to book the table. This experience altogether has made me think twice about the restaurant and especially the mentality of the owners. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant any more purely because of preferential treatment which I find to be insulting as well as demeaning at the same time. Also, no apology whatsoever received by Manager Tejas or the owners. Secondly the food was just about average and the pasta Arabbiata served was extremely sour and not worth the money. There are better restaurants now that one can go to and IVY is definitely not...

I would say this is probably the best restaurant in Ghatkopar. The ambiance is just top-notch, creating a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. All the waiters treat you exceptionally well—make sure to tip them generously!

Reaching to this place is easy. I travelled here form chembur station. Get down on the west side of station and get auto. Entry to this place is exactly right side of shoppers stop. Ambiance of the place is good. This hall can accommodate 200 people approximately. Stage space is enough to have a small ceremony. The lamps, carpet, decorations are good. This hall has facility for bride and groom to get ready. Washrooms are clean and have good space. Also they have kept bench to sit in restroom. Service provided is good. Waiters will take care of your guests very well. They also serve your tea and coffee demands. Let's come to food part. They have lawn beside the hall. This is a open area where they have created a artificial garden, fountain and food counters. You can enjoy food while sitting. They have tables and chairs. They also have standing tables. Quality of the food is delicious. You can surely enjoy your small ceremony here...
