Hotel Navgrah — Restaurant in Mumbai

A ruined family celebration and a shameful display of negligence at Hotel Navgraha On October 14, 2025, my family's dinner was completely ruined by the inexcusable negligence of the management at Hotel Navgraha. We chose to sit in the AC section, expecting a pleasant and private meal, but were instead subjected to a public meeting held by a dozen loud police officers at a corner table. The volume of their "official talk" was so high it completely shattered any chance of a peaceful dining experience. What followed was an infuriating display of management's incompetence. I approached the manager not once, but three separate times to address this completely inappropriate behavior. I clearly stated that a restaurant, especially a family dining section, is not a place for a loud discussion of official matters. My pleas were completely ignored. The manager did nothing to intervene, and the officers continued their boisterous conversation, making it impossible for my family and me to eat properly. Despite my repeated reminders and obvious frustration, the staff remained passive. It is unbelievable that a paying customer has to beg management to enforce basic standards of courtesy and public decorum. We spent Rs. 960 on a meal we couldn't properly enjoy because the management refused to do their job and control a disruptive situation. This was an hour of my family's time that was stolen, an occasion that was meant to be a celebration but was instead a stressful and disappointing ordeal. The utter disrespect for your other patrons is astounding. I paid for a meal, not for ringside seats to a loud, unprofessional, and unwelcome meeting. The lack of care shown by the management is a disgrace. Do not waste your time or money at a place that clearly puts the comfort of a select few above all...

One of the oldest and famous hotel of ghatkopar ( Navgraha) is purely veg restaurant which will mesmerize you with its authentic food.

Located opposite to shoppers stop ( before bharat petroleum )

Best time to visit - before 8 you have to book your table in Person by visiting the place or else you have to wait since the waiting time is approximately -15-20 mins and can extend upto 45 minutes based on day and crowd

We tried paneer pasanda and veg kofta With butter naan followed by dal khichdi with tadka

Qty is sufficient for 2-3 people ( one sabji )

One tip - Always prefer the upper deck ( ie AC section ) since the ground floor is recently renovated and now the kitchen is live ( so the exhaust is right facing the customers which make it quite uncomfortable )

A very good family vegetarian restaurant in Pestom Sagar offering a wide fare of vegetarian dishes including South Indian, North Indian, Chinese et al at moderate prices. One of my favorite dishes here is the Tomato-Onion Utthappam. Seating is comfortable with normal fans on the ground floor and air conditioning on the first floor. It is located on the Ghatkopar-Mahul road opposite the BMC yard close to the Glass Factory bus stop. It is open daily (no holidays) and it opens at 9 in the morning. Nothing much has changed, and it should be that way, was still able to enjoy my favourites like Tomato-Onion Utthappam, Vegetable Pulav with curry, Kashmiri Pulav, Dal Khichdi, Misal Pav, Dahi Batata Puri, Sev Puri, Plain Dosa, Mysore Sada dosa, Vegetable Sandwich, Idli-Vada with sambar, poori bhaji and...
