Jagtap Missal — Restaurant in Mumbai

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jagtap Misal and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and welcoming staff.

The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. The menu had a variety of options to choose from, but I couldn't resist trying their famous Misal. The dish was flavorful and had the perfect level of spice. The portions were generous and filling.

To add to my experience, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met.

Jagtap's Missal is oh so nostalgic for all of Mumbai college folks of 2015! But since they sold off their business to somebody else, the magic touch of authenthic Maharashtrian missal is LOST! There was a time when Jagtap Missal would be THE go-to place especially since they used to be called the "Rickshaw Wala Missal Bhai" and the most popular hangout spot during my college days. Now, the taste is meh, the rates are skyrocketed. Something that used to cost Rs 40/- 5 years ago, now is Rs 120!? Total ripoff. I know inflation and all but still. The only thing same as old times is the extra matki & rassa that they give.

Earlier this jagtap had street side stall on the same location they opened a shop. I had gone in past few years when I enjoyed the missal and after a gap I went on 12th Jan 2023 early morning around 6:30 am

I bought 2 paneer missal pav per plate 2 pav, each plate Rs. 120 so total bill paid by me was 277 including gst

The taste is not worth the price. They have lost the spicy taste they had earlier and the farshan was all soughy due the gravy was add prior only. They should have a flavor of garlic and ginger in the gravy which is a big miss in jagtap missal.

I would not prefer to go again here as it's not like old times fun in their missal. Not recommended by me...
