It was my first time here, horrible experience, they make u wait so that people think this place is crowded, we waited for almost 30 minutes, when we entered there were 2-3 tables vacant so why did they not allow people to get in, they took orders while we wait oustide and still got our thaalis after 20 minutes so thats 40 minutes of waiting for food, fish needs to be prepared can be understood but what about chicken and mutton... That too took same time to appear on the table, after soo much of waiting hot food was expected but our bad again, fish was precooked and just tossed on pan and served bcoz outer layer was warm whereas inside was still not warm, we ordered bhakris instead of chapati, another embarassment, bhakris were also precooked and cold, when i asked the waiter if the bhakri was precooked he shamelessly smiled and said yes and went away, fish thaali was good except the fish not freshly fried, sol curry was outstanding, in my mutton thaali i got two bones and two mutton bones, thats how it works in cheap restaurants, i just felt like i spoiled my lunch and time, restuarants like these should have shame and shut themselves for being so ignorant about their customers, still i recommend only surmail thaali, rest all sucks at this place. And the last thing i want to mention that this place doesnt have a washroom, so ladies and kids should blacklist this place already. Do not carry vehicles as this place has NO Parking...

This restaurant was to open at 18:45 PM according to ZOMATO mentioned in their restaurant profile ......we reached there and they asked us to wait outside for 30 Minutes, which was a shear waste of time for us (We were told by the steward and other restaurant members that it will take 5 mins to open up as they mentioned it 'N times' and they didn't keep their word.....I believe they like to keep customers waiting outside their restaurant like idiots)..........Later on we ordered their KOMBDI WADE which was SWEET and PRAWNS AJADINA which was TOO DRY & WAY TOO SALTY.....Finally At the time to settle the restaurant bill we requested if we can pay through ZOMATO, the steward and the MANAGER RUDELY DENIED ACCEPTING PAYMENT THROUGH ZOMATO APP and said we don't have ZOMATO (EVEN SHOWING TO THEM ON OUR PHONES THAT ZOMATO HAS PAYMENT OPTIONS). BEING A ZOMATO GOLD MEMBER & GETTING DISCOUNTS USING ZOMATO WHY ON EARTH ARE WE DENIED TO PAY VIA...

Extremely disappointing experience at the Lower Parel Jai Hind restaurant.

Seating area had a lot of flies and bugs. A few waiters doubled up a fly swatters to keep them away from the customer tables. Very shady streetfood vibes from this place during the recent visit. Not the premium quality feel you'll get from the original Dadar restaurant.

Food only looked good when served but was really bad and unappetizing this time. Only bhakri and prawns fry were upto the mark. Rest everything was way below average.

The hotel management which also seems to have changed of late didn't seem to be bothered by the condition of the place or the sub standard food being served there or the feedback that was shared after the meal.

Please do not visit here for 6 months at least for health and safety reasons alone. Hopefully authorities take notice and things improve soon. We need the real Jai...
