The sheer variety on the traditional brass thali is overwhelming in the best way. They truly honor their rotating menu concept. The service is the highlight—the servers are incredibly warm, attentive, and follow the traditional style of constantly checking and refilling bowls until you literally beg them to stop! You feel genuinely pampered throughout the meal.
This thali perfectly marries the two great western cuisines. You get the iconic Rajasthani heat and richness alongside the comforting, subtly sweet and tangy Gujarati flavors.
The Dal Baati Churma was outstanding, served piping hot and drenched generously in ghee (a must!). The Gujarati side was represented beautifully by the Sweet and Tangy Gujarati Dal and the light, soothing Kadhi (visible in my katoris!).
We had excellent Dhokla (spongy and soft) and a small fried savory item (like a mini-kachori) as farsan. The selection of rotis was fantastic, including phulkas and a darker, heartier rotla (perhaps bajra).
We enjoyed a diverse array of vegetable curries, including a spicy Rajasthani-style sabzi and a rich legume preparation (like chhole). The corn pulao provided a fresh contrast.
The sweets sealed the deal! The creamy Shrikhand/Basundi was divine, and we also got a delicious, melt-in-the-mouth Halwa. My favorite was the beautiful, dry-fruit garnished sweet circle (looks like a mini-malpua or ghewar) that was the perfect end to the feast.
