Konkan Swad Gomantak Food Seafood Speciality Andheri East — Restaurant in Mumbai

I recently visited Konkan Swad, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. While the food was average at best (2.5/5)—nothing particularly memorable or worth recommending—the service left a bitter taste.

The manager, in particular, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He took the wrong order and then had the audacity to blame us, saying it was our mistake. Despite confirming the portion sizes beforehand (since we were only two people and didn’t want to over-order), he brought full portions of everything, contrary to what we had requested.

When we pointed this out, instead of resolving the issue calmly, he arrogantly accused us, saying, "Sir jhoot mat bolo aap" (Don’t lie), with a smug smile. This led to a heated verbal spat. To make up for his mistakes, he later offered side dishes, but by then, the damage had been done.

The whole situation was deeply uncomfortable and unprofessional. While I can overlook average food, the disrespectful behavior from staff, especially management, is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they take steps to improve their service and...

The place is nice however as the place was full below we had to sit in the attic. If you have anxiety beware I was wondering about escaping in case of a fire. The place is fire compliant it has a marked fire exit so it was a relief. Coming to the service - the service was good and prompt and the guys got the food in reasonable time. The reason I give a 3 star is the food we ordered the following 1-Surma masala fry- which we felt was bitter for some reason and the masala tasted weird 2- prawn Koli wada- this was great the portion and quality were amazing 3- chicken Koli masala - this was the worst chicken masala I have eaten and I have travelled india at a stretch the only taste you could get was of cinnamon couldn't make out what masala where there in the gravy even the chicken was tougher than usual. 4- rice bhakri - this was nice The place seams good for drinks and finger food but vs a let down as we went only to eat. KONKAN SWAD GOMANTAK is the best place for SEAFOOD LOVERS in ANDHERI EAST.. Located at a perfect place below WEH Metro Station… the place serves some amazing SEAFOOD DISHES… like POMFRET, HALWA JITADA FISH TIGER PRAWNS SURMAI CRAB etc….

I tried quite a few dishes here as below…

BOMBIL FRY - Crispy on the out n soft. Inside.. a perfect start to your meal.. These were perfectly fried and was not at all Oily!! Perfect with a glass of Chilled BEER!!

CRAB LOLLIPOPS - I rarely try CRAB LOLLIPOPS but tried one on the owners suggestion n I was not disappointed… LOVED THE CRAB LOLLIES FULLY…

TIGER PRAWNS TAWA FRY - Jumbo prawns marinated in medium spicy masala & Pan fried… The Prawns are delicious n must have here…

JUMBO POMFRET TAWA FRY - HUGE POMFRET almost 600gm+ panfried to perfection..

For MAINS.. tried their PRAWNS CURRY with RICE BHAKRI n NEER DOSA… Delicious n medium spicy prawns curry with medium sized prawns. Loved...
