Love n Latte: I’m fond of Love n Latte since the very first time I visited their newly launched cafe at Fort! I remember the rare times when I came to Mumbai from Med School and I used to get two days off and I could do anything and everything in Mumbai for the next two days, for me fun is always visiting and hunting down exquisite cafe. Love n Latte, Fort was one. Why would be because it was the time of rains and it was the coziness of the cafe with the raindrops dripping on the huge glass wall and the vintage & modern vibe of the place made my coffee even worth it. The place got shut down but I still miss it. I was in Versova visiting my grandmother and I realised there was this two storey cafe opened up and I was delighted to see that it was Love n Latte! I was obviously visiting it. The place is divided into lower inside air conditioned area and an upper outside seating area. This place is way different from the restaurant I visited in fort. But I hoped the coffee do justice. I was with my sister, the ultimate Pizza & Pasta fan. We ordered the Alfredo Chicken and Peri Peri Pizza on the servers suggestion, we still wanted to try the nachos pizza. We ordered the Vintage Coffee Cold Coffee and the Ferrero Shake Alfredo Pasta Chicken was real good tasted very fresh unlike the disappointing pastas at many places! Wasn’t really happy with the pizza, it could be better. Really loved the Vintage Cold Coffee, Infact it was very renowned there! Everybody ordered it! Moving on to the dessert we went for Nut Crunch Brownie with Ice cream! It was very good and yummy! Loved it We were still stalling on some coffee and my sister wanted some Ice tea. We tried the Spiced Mocha & Elder Flower Ice Tea! I’d recommend the Ice Tea, it had a tinge of rose flavour making the ice tea real refreshing! There was a kitten at this café who became a beloved presence — customers adored her, and many visited the place just to see her. Despite this, the café staff once relocated her far away, likely at the manager's behest. Due to repeated customer inquiries about her whereabouts, she was eventually brought back.

One day, we walked in to find her completely drenched. The cleaner had dunked her into a bucket of dirty mop water while a waitress laughed along. When I raised this with the manager, instead of addressing the cruelty, he bizarrely blamed the kitten — a five-month-old baby who mostly napped, cuddled with customers, or calmly lounged around.

Recently, they’ve relocated her again. I’ve been requesting her location so she can be rescued, but now the staff are feigning ignorance. It’s deeply upsetting. Versova is known for being kind to animals — cafés, shops, and buildings across the area keep water bowls, offer food, and allow strays to take shelter. But this establishment decided the best course of action was to dump a domesticated kitten into an unfamiliar environment, leaving her defenseless and alone.

It’s heartbreaking and inhumane. No creature deserves this kind of treatment — especially not one who gave nothing but love.
