We are the first customer today for the lunch in A/C room..As we seated atleast for 1 to 2 minutes no one came as they were 3 people standing and talking regarding money matter...No smile on their face...No greetings towards the guest...While we were going through with the menu we order for fresh lime water which came approx after we receive the starter... I asked the waiter what is the difference between prawns Koliwada and prawns fry he just said it's deep fried no explanation how does it look, apperance, texture.. I asked him is it spicy prawns Koliwada he said yes it is medium spicy...When it came at table it was simply it was crispy fried prawn (color coated) with some seasoning on top and Schezwan sauce on side...in main course we order chicken biryani too much oily, tasteless honestly I was getting the taste of aloo masala rather than biryani masala.. while giving the payment waiter asking me tip add karna hai which is not good...if someone wants to add they ll inform directly to take the round figure or whoever wants to give cash they will give cash..No saying thank you while leaving the restaurant...Sorry to say overall experience was poor...Over priced menu...mainly prices for non AC and AC is different I asked why it is liked that waiter said we are charging for AC...You guys are running the restaurant not selling the room ac or non ac.. it is ur duty to provide not to take extra charges from customer... Hope to see the changes next...

The WORST Experience ever at Lucky Restaurant!

I visited with someones reference (I assumed it was a good restaurant)

About Ambience: We were 5 family members in april summer heat who entered in this hotel and were asked if we preferred the A/C or non-A/C room. we selected AC room so we were taken upstairs in a very small gplate (store room) converted dining hall. The beams of the building structure were so low that, our family member below 5 feet in height also bent down in that room. And a person with 6 feet 3 inches height literally ate in bent position.

About food : It was average but I personally found it to be a bit too spicy for my taste and compared to its price and quality, I will give 1-star only. One important point to note is "hygiene". The level is far below my expectations. I found human hair in Naan while eating. While chewing naan something was disturbing in my mouth so I removed that bite from my mouth. It was an UGLY and disturbing experience. I immediately called the waiter and showed him the human hair. Without saying anything, he took the naan plate and brought a new one. I was totally disturbed. But i kept patience because I was the host to my guests and I did not want any impolite exchange of words infront of them.

About price: I finished the food and left the hotel paying a huge bill (around Rs.5000/- for 5 people)

The experience was absolutely incredible! The food was outstanding, and the hospitality was exceptional.

Since today, March 14, 2025, is Holi, my friends and I decided to grab lunch after attending a Holi party. However, we weren’t sure if the restaurant would allow us in, given that we were covered in colors.

I stepped inside to ask while my friends waited outside. As soon as I entered, a man who was in the middle of a meeting immediately excused himself and approached me. Without hesitation, he asked, “How many people are with you?” I was surprised and replied, “Eleven, but is it okay if we come in like this, covered in colors?”

He reassured me with a warm “Yeah, yeah, don’t worry about it,” and even guided us toward the washroom, just like a caring host would. We were seated in the garden section, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Later, I found out that the man who welcomed us so warmly was actually the owner! I was in awe—this is a place where legends like SRK, Sachin, Aamir, Salman, and Salim Khan have dined and grown up eating, yet the owner was so down-to-earth, personally ensuring our comfort. Despite his success, his humility and kindness stood out, and the staff’s hospitality only added to the experience.

If you’re ever in Mumbai, this restaurant is a must-visit. A solid...

An old and well known restaurant in Bandra, which is know for its Mughlai style dishes and biryanis. I was lucky to visit this for the very first time and it wasn't that crowded in the noon. The ambience is well maintained and takes you back in the retro mood with wooden touches. I had a lot on my mind to eat and taste but being solo could only taste the Chicken Tikka Biryani. When I ordered for half plate the waiter very smartly said that go for full plate as half will not serve you tight. The waiter was quite a salesman and got me a full plate biryani which also filled my hunger to taste some other famous dishes. He even judged me for not paying his usual tip. 😂The full plate biryani costed me Rs. 460 excluding gst. Now coming to the taste I think it is quite hyped but I must say that it is the most consumable dish at the hotel. There are variety of biryani dishes but all the dishes look exactly the same, I wonder if they serve the same under different names 😜. This place is famous among celebrities of Bollywood and you can see some pictures framed in the interior. Overall a decent place for your Mughlai taste. Visit only if you have never visited and want to try different dishes in group.

Imitations, emulations, copies will come and go. But legends, they stand forever. Rocksolid. Lucky Restaurant @luckyrestaurant_1938, sitting proud at the busy crossroads of suburban Bandra for more than 80 years is one such. Specialising in Mughal cuisine such as kebabs, kepsa, kormas and an array of luscious lipsmacking Biryanis, Lucky has been belting out tastes and flavours and superb service relentlessly. Their wait staff have been with them for over 20 years, and have extensive knowledge about the menu. Frequented by many a Bollywood stars, its walls boast of neatly framed handwritten notes of gratitude by the beloved Khan family among others. To my dismay, they have only two branches in Mumbai and the food delivery apps do not deliver in the area I live. I therefore seized the opportunity that presented itself; after ages, and it was a homecoming of sorts. The wait staff still remembers my order of Chicken Biryani with an extra serving of potatoes. And the wallet, he remembers my spot at their entrance, the waiting point for lunches with friends... 18 years ago. "Dubla gayi ho aap", said he with a chuckle. How sweet of him! Good thing I hadn't ordered any dessert 😊😊
