Found another hidden gem and this time it is situated right in the centre of busy Marol streets near the Marol Metro station. Kinda inside and difficult to find which is why not many know about this amazing place serving exquisite delicacies. With a huge seating area divided into 3 sections 2 AC sections & 1 Non-AC section with Live GIGS like Live Music, Stand-up Comedy & so on happening this definitely is a must visit place.. Overall this is our take on @Malhar Tribes:
Ambience: 5/5 Service:5/5 Food: 5/5 Creativity: 5/5
Food we ordered:
Chicken Srilankan: Tender Chicken chunks tossed in creamy coconut curry with the amazing tadka of curry leaves. I totally loved this dish, not at all spicy but a strong flavor of curry leaves & the amazing aroma is so satiating. Definitely a recommended dish..
Stuffed Mushroom: Juicy mushrooms richly marinated and stuffed with cheesy stuffing roasted, this definitely was amazing. The marination complimented very well with the stuffing & the mushrooms truly gave a burst of juices no sooner you bite on them..
Chicken Gulati Kebab: Another tandoor take on tender chicken stuffed with gooey cheesy filling. Definitely a must have not at all spicy yet truly flavourful.
Bhindi Kurkure: Ohhh I love munching on this tidbits, thinly sliced lady fingers coated & deep fried to crisp texture, heres a quick tip to make it more interesting my version of eating it is squeezing lemon & some chaat masala for that perfect chatpata snack.
Chicken Hoppers: Another Srilankar staple, thin rice pancake bowls with sunnyside up egg on top and a heap of your fav. Meat or veggies tossed in gravy. We had Chicken hoppers, Chicken sukka placed in a delicate rice pancake bowl with sunny sideup egg. Definitely another of my fav..
Prawns Tawa Fry: Fresh prawns with lovely spices roasted on tawa for that perfect charr on top. Simple yet delicious. Not too spicy but well balanced indeed..
Chicken Gassi: Mangalorean style coconut based chicken curry with succulent chicken chunks with flavours of coconut & hint of tamarind. Not at all recommended if you hate coconut but a true love if you like thai food.
Chicken Malvani: This was simply the best…made me nostalgic reminding me of authentic malwani curry. So on point, the spices the flavor everything was amazing. Loved it. We had both these curries with Appam, an amazing combination indeed.
Mocktail: We tried the frozen berry blush which was a glass full of slush in mix berry. Secondly we went for the Green Apple lemonade which was classic. Definitely refreshing.
Tender Coconut Payasam: This was a showstopper indeed. Never had tender coconut earlier though had heard a lot. Simply delicious no doubt. A must have and highly recommended..
Overall we had an amazing time in here. The staff was very hospitable and on point with everything. The Manager too was quite helpful in helping us order according to our palate. The food is lovely. The ambience is huge giving rustic village style desi vibes. A totally must visit if you love some good food around Marol. Since Sundays are celebrated as a NO KITCHEN DAY two of us wheeled down to this few months old eatery which has replaced some nondescript joint of yesteryears.
You cannot miss this place located in an Industrial Estate opp the Landmark Jalaram Stores on Marol Maroshi Road - Andheri East, even if your Jio Data has ditched you ;)
The first impression of this restaurant is of the ones, one encounters on highways during road trips , huge unconstrained layout ,equally huge parking lot where one can park
your prized car independently to ones satisfaction with no worries of handing it out to random valet .
The restaurant has a Two level climate controlled dining area along with a very large al fresco dining area which I believe is also used for banquets ,IPL season do's , Live performances etc.
We were ushered to the Upper level , approachable through a flight of steps.
Seating was easy since it was only 75 % full. The energy was vibrant & also noisy thanks to the boisterous kids & families enjoying themselves.
Being a Sunday my dining partner announced that Veg food will not be even touched with a barge pole so we ordered for Prawns Hot Garlic - INR 450 : Seemed like the biggest boys ( Hope the Womens Lib wont troll me ) amongst the catch were served to us ,diligently devined ( So doubtlessly safe ) , were eaten slowly to let one afloat in ecstasy of distinct juicy flavors bursting & hitting the right notes on your taste buds. 7-8 Pcs served. Next was Chicken Kalamiri Kebabs ( INR 290 ): VFM would be an understatement for this gem of a dish ,besides a First class in tenderness & taste , arresting my taste buds expectedly.
We also ordered for Sol Kadi ,very smartly priced at a cheap INR 60 but with a catch - probably 200 ml or so only ! But still worth the money what with its perfect balance of spices & condiments. Eating ritual here cannot be consummated without this drink.
Ambiance : Decent , Wood themed .
Food is served in steel plates.
Service: Decent
As a practice checked the restrooms to gauge how serious is the management about perfection in complete operations. Well they have nailed it all the way.
Be prepared to unbutton after the sumptuous meal.
Will definitely return to try the plethora of ...

The specials are written on the chalk boards on the walls so it’s easy to find. The staff is so friendly and ready to answer all questions with prompt service. Manager Dhiraj was recommending cocktails and dishes at our request promptly. Special mention of servers Tahir and Manoj who were attentive to our table. I was blown away by the various seafood, chicken and mutton items. However, as a vegetarian I looked for those options and found plenty to choose from as well.
I tried:
Cocktails Float like a butterfly - tequila based Apple pie - vodka based
The apple pie literally has hints of pie flavour. Vodka has been generously added. The grenadine syrup has added the sweetness well.
Float like a butterfly has generous amounts of tequila. It’s like a mild version of pina colada. But with a big kick.
Soup Pineapple drumstick rasam The rassam was perfect with the spicy after kick and sweet and pungent flavours of pineapple and drumstick. It will surely warm you up on these cold winter evenings. And that’s not all, there are many tiny pineapple pieces inside to break the spices of the adamant intervals.
Starters Palak papdi chaat Tandoori shakarkand
The tandoori shakarkand was just like a wow The charcoal flavour and sweet potato with its slightly spicy masala on top made it taste too yum. The burned sides added to the flavour. The chutney it was paired it was having hints of garlic which gave it a good sweet and pungent combo in the mouth.
The Palak papdi chaat was huge and was well fried. The chutney and the curd didn’t hide the fry taste. All the tastes were balanced. I loved how it gave a crunchy noise in the mouth when biting. Not to miss the cute pomegranates on top of each papdi
Veg chettinad: tangy undertones and south style Masalas and plenty of curry leaves defined this dish. It was a delight in the mouth.
Appam: it paired very well with the chettinad curry. Soft and tender to the touch and sweet to the taste.
Malabar paratha: it was crisp and soft like a mixed dosa but dry paratha style. I would say it would pair better with a North Indian gravy. But it was well done.
Mogador pastry has multiple labours sort of like a paint box of taste. It’s got raspberry compote topping with nutty undertones in every bit with sort of a hazelnut aftertaste. There are cute blueberry that tops it off and a white...
