Listen up Cafe Lovers - this is the spot for you! Ready or not, you must visit this cafe. The story behind it is surely going to melt your heart. I wish all of you get to meet Mr. Amin Sheikh, who is such a warm and a gracious host. Also do ask him the reason behind the quirky name of this cafe. This cafe is associated to a NGO that functions in Mumbai as well as Spain. Most of the ingredients used here are organic, which the volunteers get along with them from Spain. Believe me or not, there is a small teapot of olive oil in each table that I haven't seen before in any cafe. Most of their dishes including the sauces are self creation having their own twist and innovation. Coming to the order : PATATAS BRAVAS A native dish of Spain , this is made up of potatoes which is fried in olive oil and accompanied with a dip. It was a nice appetizer with the flavour being amplified by the dip served. CHICKEN FINGERS Chicken fingers were exceptionally cooked. The chicken pieces were juicy and tender with the textual perfection leaving you on a high. It was really just so endless, so soft yet crunchy and tasted even better with the dip CHICKEN FUSION VADAPAV With a huge chicken patty between 2 buns of bread along with coriander chutney and self creation sauce that is spread on it, this dish is surely going to be your circle of happiness. A lot of coriander chutney is spread on one side of the buns due to which the taste of it overshadows the taste of the overall dish. But overall it was decent. CREAMY MUSHROOM ON TOAST Do yourself a favour and try a legit plate of creamy mushroom on toast. The pieces of mushroom cooked in white creamy sauce, spread on bread toast is amazing. They just dissolve in your mouth, DIVINE, so good that you will satisfied and full. GOOEY CHOCOLATE CAKE (Highly Recommend) TIRED? Try their irresistible chocolate gooey cake which will make you forget about the insane week you had. At the first bite itself, you'll have an explosion of happiness in your mouth. Worth every calorie. HOT CHOCOLATE Neither sweet nor bitter, the goodness of this hot chocolate is surely going to make you feel better. CAFE BONBON A very innovative coffee, take a sip of it and it's going to tickle your taste buds. Very strong. CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE Decent and average. Not the best I have had. Overall, my entire experience was overwhelming. The staff is so helpful and friendly, you can feel the positive vibes. Trust me, this gorgeously cosy cafe is bound to put you in a happy mood and is always packed with people happily tucking in and with a good reason.

Nestled in the busy street of Marol, a few minutes away from the metro station, is this gem of a cafe - Bombay to Barcelona Library Cafe. This cafe is a great initiative by the founder, Amin Sheikh, who provides employment to street kids in the cafe. It's a different world altogether when you enter the cafe, away from the noise of the bustling city. They have a myriad of books to choose from, a piano and multiple guitars for the musical fanatics and mannequins showcasing few classy garments. For those who prefer an outdoor seating, they have seats outside as well, surrounded by many plants. Be rest assured that the place is generally full during the peak hours so you might have to wait. Speaking about the menu, oh boy the variety! From baingan bharta sandwich to an all time favourite pink pasta to a variety of crepes, there is something here for every palate. Here's what we had - 1. Balle balle penne pasta : This an indian version of your regular Italian pasta. As the name gives it away, this dish is perfect for those who like punjabi cuisine. The gravy is super flavourful and buttery and you'll end up fighting for the cheese on top. 2. Cheese garlic bread : This is a cheese lover's paradise! They are cross buns filled with a generous amount of cheese. You're bound to have cheese in every bite. 3. Chicken fusion vadapav : A twist to the normal vadapav, this had a juicy chicken patty and a unique blend of green chutney and a white sauce (not sure what this was) The flavours aren't too overwhelming and has a nice subtle taste. 4. Malta mojito : An orange based mojito with fresh mint leaves. It has a mix of sweet, bitter and tangy flavour. If you're into fruit juices, this one is for you! 5. Oreo shake : A semi thick shake with the perfect amount of sweetness. Just how an Oreo shake should be! 6. Chocolate shake : This shake has more of dark chocolate in it. Honestly, the experience at the Café is too good. There's a homely atmosphere here and the staff is so cordial and respectful. They also have live music on weekends so it's an ideal place to chill with your friends. Also, special mention to Amin for suggesting us the dishes based on our taste and making sure we had a good time! Do try and read his autobiography - I am because of you. Looking forward to visiting the Café soon once again!

It is so wonderful place I had a really very great experience their & I would suggest you all who ever is reading my review should visit this place once in a life atleast their staff is so great & they have a excellent understanding between them & customers also . The person who owns the café Respected Sir Amin Sheikh he is itself so ground to earth person and welcome everyone with the Big Smile I have never meet a person like him so energetic, fabulous personality, so humble & many more to say about him & café but i didn't have words to express my happyness & proud feeling that i got an opportunity to become a volunteer for two day i worked there for 2 days and trust me it was not at all easy to manage it is so so difficult for me to talk with the stranger peoples and to understand them and all that but then also it was an amazing experience for me on a first day it was really very embarrassing for me to ask to talk with the stranger people but till evening time i was little confident by pushing & kicked my self that what happened yaar that's not a big deal to talk with stranger peoples and their is no need to be so shy everything is okay and fine just go for it. Then on a second day in morning I literally strated approaching customer's & trust me i don't konw through that it developed my speaking skills & have little more confidence with myself . Their is a book name as Bombay Mumbai “LIFE IS LIFE. I AM BECAUSE OF YOU” Written by Amin Sheikh in this book he has written his whole life story till now & on the last page book it is written that (Thats not the end ,only the beginning) the thinks that i learn from Sir Amin Sheikh is really very much but the one with i m so obsessed is “BE HONEST WITH YOUR SELF DON'T BECOME WHAT WORLD IS EXPECTING FROM YOU ALWAYS BE YOUR SELF! DON'T LET ANY OTHER PERSON TO DECIDE YOUR LIFE” their is so many things to tell about sir & his motivation might change our life forever he is not a simple he is really a living legend whom i have meet. There are much more to say about #bombaytobarcelonalibrarycafe I think that i should write a book on it and the tile would be like “ 2day's at Bombay to Barcelona café ”✌️ All Thanks To, Respected Sir Amin Sheikh & Team #bombaytobacelonalibrarycafe

A Cafe that is one of a kind in Mumbai or even all across India; a Cafe that was conceptualized by an inspiring person; a Cafe that is run by street kids; this is the Cafe that not only serves great food but also spreads happiness, hope, positivity and inspires others to do so!! This library Cafe is run by a humble, knowledgeable, and outspoken person, Mr. Amin. The concept on the whole is very simple but the idea awestruck me. The initiatives he takes and the care he has for both the people under and around him; the food they serve, Wow, mind-blowing!! Mutton fusion vada pav - That mild sweet fluffy bun stood out and with the mutton cutlet in the middle, this was a bit spicy, very soft, and buttery on the whole!! 🙌 B2BLC Chicken special SW - Well-toasted sandwich served with fries; the chicken filling was perfectly cooked with the right level of spices, though it was simple, the meat flavors were kicky!!! 😊 Velvety Paneer butter rice - Oh wowww!! Amazing paneer gravy served with equally amazing butter rice just glides down easily!! Perfectly cooked damn smooth rice with a mild sweet yet fragrant paneer gravy; mix them and a scoop of the rice with the paneer gravy would be BLISS!! 🥰 Gooey cupcake - Typical cupcake that was a bit hard on the outside but very spongy on the inside; not too sweet so quite enjoyable 🫠 Rosemary tea - Rosemary-based pot herbal green tea which was very aromatic, and good on the tummy but only a few prefer it!! 🙂 Limited seating but available both on the inside and outside with off-street parking space. The ambiance will make you turn your head and look all around to read the wall hangings; a good way to pass the time while you wait for the food. A place which values both our time and money so they're indeed worth every penny. Moreover, they've another set menu for the underprivileged which is commendable. The service at this place sets everything apart; always a smile on everyone's face, trying to lighten up the environment and boost the other's mood!!

I'd heard a lot about the awesome food served at this place but what I did not know was the underlying concept of the cafe. It is run by the people from the chawl nearby - which is really impressive because the taste of the dishes was so good and so close to authentic. One would think that maintaining such authenticity in taste without proper training is impossible - but this Cafe stands to prove everyone wrong. The facade or the interior is nothing too fancy - just looks like an ordinary Cafe. Standing there, I wish believe from the looks of it, if someone were to tell me that they serve such awesome food. The place is quite tiny, just a couple of tables - just enough space of about 20 people. On my plate Spanish Churros with thick hot chocolate Probably the best and the simplest churros I've had in a while. Perfectly crisped on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and not too sweet either. And the hot chocolate that was served with, was to die for! We just sipped whatever was left after eating the churros. B2BLC chicken sandwich It was a crossover sandwich, with hints of Indian as well as Spanish tastes. I loved the fact that they put chicken kheema instead of the normal chicken filling in the sandwich. Velvety butter chicken with rice It certainly wasn't the regular butter chicken but it was fantastic. Sweet and spicy with buttery such a beautiful buttery texture - I could savour it for hours. Even the chicken was soft and almost melted in the mouth. The rice with which it was served were also perfectly cooked - probably in butter, which only made the combination taste heavenly. Spanish omelette Now, I've tried this at so many different places, but nowhere has it been close to what it ought to taste like. But here, it was as close to perfect as I'd ever gotten. Perfectly cooked onions, potatoes, and unburnt eggs - blissful! Gooey chocolate cake There is only 1 word I would use to describe it - heavenly!

Some plans just don't happen to be successful. Always have a contingency plan. When it's you, my brother, there always needs to be a Plan B. When Mainland China (Marol) messed up really bad with the reservations, B2BLC stood there like a contingency plan. Ambiance: Decent. Quaint as a library cafe should be. 15+ indoor and 4+ outdoor seating available. Limited but intrigue book collection. Cause/Food: A group of street living people, who have learnt to cook Spanish food in a matter of just 10 days from a renowned chef, came up with this common, yet brilliantly executed idea of opening up a library cafe in an area like Marol where there are limited options at this point in time. Mr. Amin, one of the co-founders of the outlet, wrote a book on Bombay which is now being featured at this outlet as well. Limited options in food. Bringing in Spanish traditional food with an Indian touch might be a tough job. What we ordered: Cortado and Bombon Coffee, Patatas Bravas. Cortado is a bitter cup of caffeine set in skimmed milk. What Bombon sets itself differently from other coffees is the proper fusion of grounded bitter coffee floating on sweetened foamed milk. When you mix both, the taste is class apart. Low on sips but high on taste. Patatas Bravas is nothing unusual than potatoes deep fried served with orange Spanish sauce. Overlooking all the sympathy and efforts attached to the theme and background of the cafe, what they lack is some variety to be added in the menu. I doubt if library cafes have such menu because I haven't visited many. I maybe wrong but that's what I feel as an end customer. Thank you for this amazing plan and not agreeing to have a Vadapav instead. Because sometimes plans don't work, but people do.
