The restaurant is famous among nonvegetarians, especially seafood lovers. However, since we had a dinner party here and being a vegetarian, I got to try out their veg. variety as well.
We started off by ordering veg. Spring rolls and Cauliflower Lollipops. As per the name, the veg. spring roll was filled with vegetables, including carrots, onions, capsicum, and noodles. The taste was delicious, and the outer covering was fried optimally, making it crispy. The cauliflower lollipop was great, too. Small and medium cauliflower pieces were fried until they turned crisp and cooked in schezwan sauce with some garlic and onions. Delicious and crispy.
For the main course, we ordered the veg. Kolhapuri and Paneer Tikka Masala. The Veg. Kolhapuri was made in a spicy orange gravy with vegetables such as carrots, flowers, potatoes, french beans, and onions mixed together. Though it was not out of the world, the taste was decent and not highly spicy. The Paneer tikka masala was exceptional. The paneer pieces were soft and juicy and were well cooked to soak in all the aroma and flavor of the spices put to cook. The chapatis and the rotis ordered were all great. Fresh out of the tawa and soft enough.
Lastly, we ordered Jeera Rice and Dal Fry. The jeera rice had fantastic quantity. In fact, 2 plates were more than enough for about 7 people, and the long-grained rice was delicious to eat. The dal fry was tempered with butter on top and was made with Toor Dal. The combination of the two dishes was excellent and fulfilling. Overall, the food was delicious; however, the only problem was with the gravy of the vegetables. Both of them tasted precisely the same without any difference, which needs improvement.
Coming to the restaurant is a 5-minute walk from Gorai Depot and is well-connected. It has 2 floors and is tastefully decorated with decent ambiance. Thus, it is an excellent restaurant for some good food, though it needs slight...
