Shagun Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

Shagun Veg Restaurant in Dahisar is a place I have been visiting for over 20 years now, and I still absolutely love the food here. I usually prefer ordering home delivery, but I have also dined in a few times. They have a simple indoor seating area with air conditioning, and the ambience feels like a quick-service restaurant.

My favourites here are Idli, Masala Dosa, Pav Bhaji, and Veg Thali. I also enjoy their Veg Kolhapuri, Veg Pulao, and Idli Fry. My all-time favourite dish here would definitely be the Veg Biryani. The food is always well-prepared, and the taste has remained consistent through the years.

What I really appreciate is how they have maintained their quality consistently throughout these years. I absolutely recommend ordering from here if you live in or around Dahisar. They also provide home delivery services.

A very very bad review for this restaurant ..they give stale food ...please be careful with their food..also when you take kids the waiters decide on your kid how much to eat and not eat...the waiter poke nose saying don't feed your kid...as they are worried if the vomit...they have to clean...Waiter don't have respect to talk to customers and are very rude.....waiters put their fingers in nose and mouth and serve with same hand...waiters are not taught cleanliness at all..and the onwer also supports the waiter....waiters have fights among themselves and also the person sitting on the counter is very rude and tries in some or other way to remove extra money by the customers saying you have spoiled dine in area....this restaurant is not at all for a good family and not at all kid friendly....they don't respect the lady if she is alone....they talk rudely...please...

I'm writing this review to express my disappointment with the recent decline in service and food quality at Shagun Hotel, Dahisar West. I've noticed a significant drop-off, and the experience has become consistently poor.

Here are a few specific issues I encountered:

Food Quality: The food quality has been subpar. The Hong Kong rice was excessively spicy, making it difficult to eat, and the regular fried rice was so oily it was unappetizing.

Missing Items: It's frustrating that Schezwan chutney is no longer provided with Chinese orders. This small detail makes a big difference.

Slow Service: The service has become incredibly slow, with significant delays in getting our orders.

Overall, it feels like the quality has been getting worse with each visit. I hope these issues can be addressed so that the restaurant can return to the standards...
