Spice of China truly stands out as a gem in the culinary scene, offering an exceptional dining experience that's hard to forget. From the moment my partner and I stepped in, we were greeted with the kind of warm, attentive service that makes you feel both welcomed and valued. Opting for their candlelight dinner added an extra layer of enchantment to the evening, casting a romantic glow that perfectly complemented the restaurant's elegant ambiance.
The culinary journey began with the Chicken Manchow soup, a delightful start that set high expectations right away. Its rich flavors and perfect consistency were a testament to the chef's skill and attention to detail. Following this was the Smoked Chicken Chili, a dish that truly stole the show. The chicken was impeccably cooked, tender on the inside with a slightly crisp exterior, and the smoky flavor was balanced beautifully with just the right amount of spice.
Every dish served was a clear indication of Spice of China's commitment to quality and authenticity, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine Asian cuisine. Whether you're planning a romantic evening out or just in search of an exquisite meal, Spice of China is sure to exceed your expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and eagerly look forward to...

Had been over with a couple of friends who I had not met up with in a while. The place is surprisingly easy to locate even if it's your first time being there.
For starters we ordered pork chilli and Kung pao chicken. The pork chilli was really well cooked, it had been a while since I've been to a restaurant where the pork was cooked so well. The dish was good with a decent helping of spices. The Kung pao chicken was something I haven't tried before. It was similar to a chilli chicken dish but slightly milder. It was cooked along side with your regular helping of veggies(onion, bell peppers etc) but along with peanuts. I thought it would go well with water chestnuts instead of the peanuts and made this known to the owner.
For main course we ordered garlic fried rice along with a gravy which I don't exactly remember the name of, but the mix had a nice balance of flavours that didn't overwhelm your senses.
The owner was open to my suggestions about the dishes we ordered. The restaurant was absolutely clean. They even had hand sanitiser, which quite honestly, is required now a days more than ever.
Over all a nice and affordable place to go dining and hang out with your...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I recently dined at this restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. We encountered several issues with the service, starting with the waiter's lack of familiarity with the menu. Despite Shanghai rice being listed, they seemed unaware of its existence when I inquired about it. Additionally, our order for the paneer crispy starter, a vegetarian option, was mistakenly served as chicken crispy, which was a significant disappointment for us.
Regrettably, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the mix-up, and it appeared that the owner, who seemed preoccupied, was unconcerned about the issues transpiring in the restaurant. The overall quality of the food was subpar, with taste, packaging, and portion size falling short of expectations.
Given the series of disappointing events and the lack of attention to customer satisfaction, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It's disheartening to have had such a negative experience and to feel as though our...
