Bread is a staple for many countries. There maybe different kinds of breads but their purpose is the same. It’s that carb which we all crave for in a meal and this is one thing that enhances every meal by making it more satiating. The Bread Bar is one such gorgeous, insta worthy place which is tucked away in the Bylanes of Chembur and has won hearts of the locals as well as people far & wide. The minute I walked in I felll in love with the place. It was complete nostalgic as the aroma of freshly baked bread in the air as It reminded me of a street of cologne where breads are so good. Met chef Rachi & her family here who toil hard and run the place. I loved the concept of an open kitchen which made it possible for me to watch my food being cooked in front my eyes. Chef Rachi is barely in her early twenties but she has immense expertise in this field and can give the best in the city, a run for their money.

We tried the Assorted bread basket first with some dips. Breads like sourdough, focaccia, crackers, baguette, multigrain etc were a part of this along with dips like Regular hummus, green peas hummus, pesto, pepper jam & cream cheese. I have no words to express my gratitude to the chef for the perfection of this platter. I could eat this all day n yet not get over it. The next bread I tried was the New York style bagel with cream cheese. This is not for the faint hearted as the cheese is in abundance here and can give u a food orgasm. The next dish I tried was the hummus & shrooms tartine. Just order this without fail. Star dish and an absolute must try. I can go back for this and all actually. Still drooling over it. Last but not the least I tried the hot chocolate here. This was just the show stopper. I was celebrating Christmas before Christmas Day is all i can say. Simply a perfect festive beverage which everyone enjoys. Again a must try here. Actually there is nothing that u can miss here. U must it all.

Last but not the least I took some goodies home for my family to try. Apple pie, almond croissant, sour dough, tea cake & crackers. I just can’t understand how to express my emotions about how good it all was and I can’t wait to order more. They deliver all over the city so that’s the perfect plan now….. just order in whenever I miss these treats. Pricing is extremely reasonable and quality is top notch.
