Absolute Horrifying Experience. Request all people to read through before visiting/ordering. AFTER SEEING OTHER REVIEWS, I FIND OUT THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON COMPLAINT SINCE YEARS AND THERE SEEMS TO BE NO CHANGE. I had prebooked 3 Onam Sadhya for lunch. I was told to visit the place and pick it up at 12:30pm. (Was prebooked the previous day) As per normal practice, pre-booked orders must me kept ready to collect at the time the customer has been called to collect. I travelled 14kms to reach the restaurant at the appointed time to collect my order. On arrival, firstly we are made to wait outside in the rain on the street. After waiting for more than 1 hour, these guys still didn't give me my order and in front of me 8-10 Zomato/Swiggy guys came and collected their orders and left. The guys at the restaurant, a young woman at the reception and a malayali guy were not at all interested in serving and cluless. Speaking rudely, and absolutely shamelessly despite waiting for an hour asking me to wait for some more time. Firstly, atleast in Mumbai, the restaurant shouldn't have people who don't speak Hindi to adress customers. Frustrated, I left from the venue as it was already late for lunch. Kept calling the contact number provided online atleast 50 times only to be picked up and hung up by them while we are speaking. After trying more than 50 times, somehow got in touch with them, and at 2:30 pm I was told that they will deliver the order to my residence. After all the hassle, at 4:36pm I was told by the restaurant that my order will arrive in 10 mins. The order actually arrived at 5:38pm. After receiving the order, I find out they have sent me only 2 Meals while I ordered for 3. On calling the person coordinating, he firstly denied saying they sent the correct order and were blaming it on the delivery guy. This person, Name: Shahid Kappur, started speaking rudely and was shouting at me and was asking me to return the order that I had received. After calling the restaurant multiple times, they finally accepted their mistake and agreed to send me another sadhya box. This box reached my at 7:30pm. All this was ordered for Lunch and was supposed to be picked up at 12:30pm. To top all of this, after opening the food, I find out that banana leaves were not provided in two Sadyas, sambar was not provided in one sadya. The papad was soggy and the payadan too doggy. Food was not packed properly (check the pictures). I've been ordering Onam Sadya from Theeram since the last 3-4 years. I was a big fan of their food but this time it was a horrific experience and surely this restaurant has lost a customer. For people considering Onam Sadya, please consider the following restuarants and you will surely have a better experience: 1. Santosham (Multiple Outlets) 2. Coconut Kitchen (Chembur) 3. Taste of Kerala (Fort) And many more Kerala restaurants serve onam sadhya. This restaurant has a very small seating capacity, the food is stored/prepared in a store/room across the road and the servers are walking on the street in the rain with containers containing the food open for contamination. Absolutely horrific and unacceptable. Refer to images to know that this is not a fake review.

Visited Theeram recently with a friend, and it turned out to be a hidden gem for Kerala cuisine lovers—especially non-veg enthusiasts. However, there are a few things you should know before planning your visit. The restaurant is located in a narrow lane of Kalina, Santacruz East, and does not have any dedicated parking, so you’ll need to manage that on your own. It’s a small, cozy place with limited seating—around four tables for four and two tables for two, so it’s not ideal for large groups. Ambience is simple, nothing fancy, but the focus here is clearly on food. The menu is purely Kerala-style and is a treat for those who enjoy authentic regional flavors. However, it’s written in a local Kerala dialect/accent, which can be a bit tricky to understand. I recommend asking the staff to explain the dishes before you order. We tried: • Seafood Soup – Flavorful, slightly spicy, and full of rich coastal taste. Highly recommend. • Tawa Prawns – Slightly undercooked/raw in texture, which I personally didn’t mind, but others may want to be cautious, especially those prone to allergies. • Fried Chicken – Crispy, but overly salty and quite oily. Not my favorite. • Egg Parotta – Soft, flaky, and tasty—this was a hit! • Shevaya Payasam – A perfect ending to the meal. Mild, sweet, and authentic. The service was on the slower side, and a few items we wanted were unavailable, so we had to adjust our order based on what was available. That was a bit disappointing, but the flavors made up for it. If you’re a non-veg lover or someone from Kerala missing homestyle food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Don’t expect a lavish setup—come for the food. We’ll definitely be back, but a bit earlier next time to get the full menu experience.

Visited Theeram yesterday for lunch. Very disappointed with the quality of food. I decided to taste Kerala Paratha & the Appam with the vegetable Korma. Though the Paratha was decent but the Korma was completely rundown. It was tasteless and was like a rundown Dhal with few vegetables thrown in. I asked them to re-do with little spicy. Malabar Paratha+Korma is the famous combination in South India and particularly in Kerala. Unfortunately this Kerala specialty Restaurant messed it up. The order was for one Paratha and one Appam. But they served 2 Parathas and the Appam never came nor the waiter bothered to ask. The place is a shanty converted into a small restaurant type. On enquiry, I found out that a Kerala cook prepare few items in the morning and goes away. Rest is managed by some UP cook. The eating area was not lit up properly and I felt like sitting in an illegal Country Liquor joint. At the end, I asked if they have Jaggery based rice Payasam. They said yes and served the sugar payasam. Again I asked for Jaggery based Payasam, which was more liquid and extremely sweet. Overall experience was not good. I will not recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Kerala Veg Food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Theeram Restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant's inviting ambiance, attentive service, and, most importantly, the delectable food made it a memorable visit.

Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly staff who promptly seated me and ensured my comfort throughout the meal. The restaurant's tasteful decor and cozy atmosphere created a pleasant dining environment.

The menu at Theeram Restaurant offers a diverse range of culinary delights, catering to various palates. From appetizers to desserts, each dish was crafted with precision and presented beautifully. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors were well-balanced.

One standout dish was the signature dish, the Theeram Restaurant Special. It was a gastronomic masterpiece, combining unique flavors and textures that left me craving for more. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I left the restaurant fully satisfied.

The service at Theeram Restaurant was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

In addition to the exceptional food and service, Theeram Restaurant also offers an impressive selection of beverages, including a variety of wines and handcrafted cocktails. The drink menu perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Overall, my visit to Theeram Restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of delectable food, attentive service, and inviting ambiance made it a memorable culinary journey. I highly recommend Theeram Restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience that will tantalize their taste buds and leave them wanting to return for more.

For my parents who are 85 plus, I had ordered and paid in advance Rs.1600 plus delivery charges for Onam sadya. The delivery date being 5th,September,2025 and Theeram had promised to deliver on the 5th,September between 12pm and 1230pm. As there was no delivery of the promised food I had called Theeram, I was able to connect after a lot of effort. The lady who answered the phone gave three replies for the 3 times I was able to connect. First time she said the delivery will come soon, the next time she said within 10 minutes and finally she said the Onam sadya was on its way. I need to let one and all know in Theeram this lady lied and lied very well. No Onam sadya was delivered on 5th, September, 2025 and thanks to the wickedness, in sensitivities and cruel mentality of Theeram, my parents went hungry. Had the Theeram management been sensitive to senior citizens with health issues the least they could have done was informed by SMS that there would be no delivery. Had the lady who attended the phone calls spoken the truth then my parents who are 85 plus could have not gone hungry on a festive day. Further more had the Theeram management been more service oriented and ethical in business, they should have refunded Rs. 1600 plus delivery charges by now to all who had to go hungry for no fault of theirs. On 6th, September 2025, Theeram was closed for reasons only known to them. May be they wished that people who had paid and went hungry on 5th, September Onam sadya more agony, suffering and pain. This is third class n third rate torture at its very best. The saddest part being people had paid in advance and went hungry. Can I expect prompt action from the Theeram's top management to refund our advance and delivery charges...
