I have been going here regularly for more than a year now. The staff and even the regular customers knew me well you can say I was quite a familiar face there. Earlier the vibe was really good, the staff used to be cheerful and friendly. But recently things changed a lot. One day I had already ordered a coffee in the morning and was working on my laptop while my video was rendering. Since it was rush hour, the barista Nilofar came and gave me a menu card which I honestly didnât like because I already know the menu very well and Iâve been a loyal customer for a long time. I told her to take it back politely, but I felt she didnât like it. Later, during the rush, she asked me to get up from my seat. I refused because my work wasnât finished, and yes maybe I came across as rude there I admit that was my mistake. Then the manager, Madhu, came and told me that this is not the right way to talk to staff, which I agreed to. But when I said, âIf you have a problem with me, I will never come back again,â she just said, âAs you wish,â very casually. So I walked out from there. Later on, I was told by someone I know from the cafe that the manager had said she âkicked me outâ and even told other cafĂ©s not to let me in. That was really shocking and unfair because I left on my own without creating any scene. It felt like the situation was taken on ego and escalated unnecessarily. I honestly never thought I would write something negative about this place because I used to love coming here, but the experience was really disappointing. Not just me I know a few other regulars too who have stopped coming here only because of the change in staff behaviour. Earlier this place had a warm vibe, now the staff doesnât even smile. I would never want any loyal customer to feel targeted or disrespected like this. From a brand perspective also, this is not good. You can even ask people who used to come regularly about my behaviour I was never problematic. Really felt bad with how things...
Read moreI have been a loyal patron of Third Wave Coffee, visiting various branches across Mumbai for corporate meetings, study sessions and hangouts, and always have had positive experiences until I visited the Andheri East branch for a study session with a friend.
Despite placing multiple orders totaling over Rs 1200+ throughout the day, we were told by Mr.Faizan to order something immediately again during his shift or leave. This demand felt unfair, especially as other patrons sat for hours with just a glass of water or no orders in those same hours and had no intervention. When we raised this inconsistency, Mr. Faizan was dismissive and rude, telling us not to "tell him how to do his job."
If the policy truly requires customers to leave an hour after ordering, it should be applied uniformly. Singling out certain customers, particularly us students, creates an unwelcoming and discriminatory atmosphere.
I urge the Andheri East branch to either communicate its policies more clearly or train staff to enforce them equitably and politely as we felt quite upset at the treatment extended, particularly to us today. Until then, Iâd recommend alternative spaces like Starbucks or Blue Tokai, where customers can enjoy a more respectful and...
Read moreA long time plan came into practice on Sunday evening to visit Third Wave Coffee and enjoy coffee đ As expected the cafe was full of guests and had to wait for a couple of minutes to get tables cleared. Nice modern seating with comfy seats and tiny tables made it chic and modern. Interior walls with frame portrait design added to the cheerful environment. Counter staff was helpful with selection and suggested to download app to benefit from loyalty discount. Our order was Newly launched Chicken n Cheese Tosties with Choco Hazelnut Frappe, Roasted Veggie Pesto Croissant with Mocha Toffee Nut Frappe ( this was expected to be hot but obviously it was cold coffee) and Hot Choco Caramel Latte. Service was quick and with follow up on feedback and offer to replace cold coffee with hot one which we decided not to go for. Food items were well presented, could have been more heated considering cold weather, Hot coffee could have been hotter to be enjoyed at leisure. But overall experience was nice and worth visiting again. Little rush to clear tables is due to waiting guests and tables occupied by working people while enjoying coffee. Good place to have coffee which is 'freshly brewed just...
