UDIPI KRISHNA — Restaurant in Mumbai

Horrible experience It is a very short word for experience we have faced. We came for the first time in this restaurant. And pledge never to return again.

Cost: the food is exhorbitant but absolutely tasteless. We ordered pizza, dal kichdi and tawa pulao. We got the tawa pulao uncooked. Though dal kichdi was cooked but equally tasteless, pizza was satisfactory. And the manager was not ready to accept his mistake for uncooked tawa pulao.

Service: the service is absolutely horrible. The waiter was asked for lemon and onions second time and even after repeated requests we didn’t get it.

Ambience: we had not taken a ac room and we found the tables were so dirty and had to repeatedly tell the cleaner to clean it. They had kept a industrial fan which was so noisy that we didn’t feel like eating at times.

I would like to tell the management that we already know the locality and after careful study we choose the restaurant and if we get a service which doesn’t hold the standards of any ordinary udupi restaurant why should we even think of coming...

Never Again.

The hotel server takes over 20 minutes to serve the order. When asked, Menu card me likha hai 15 minutes se zyaada time lag sakta hai.

Verified in the menu card, nothing like that mentioned. No apology rendered. Firstly there was no need to tell that menu card thing.

Secondly, getting wrong order twice, which we refused to accept. He started arguing over it that you'll have to eat. Wow, seems more a threat call.

Went to the person on the bill counter (probably the manager or the higher authority) named Vitthal & narrated him The entire incident.... He just turned a deaf ear towards everything & pretended as it was very okay for such kind of behavior in the restaurant.

About the food: Neer Dosa tasted like Rava Dosa... being an UDIPI, South food should be the specialty of such place, but it was...

Udipi Krishna Pure Veg Restaurant is situated near Byculla Railway Station on East side. There are options available for AC or Non-AC as per your pocket. The taste of their food is quite good and the quality and quantity is nice. Recommendable for vegetarian folks as there are many options to eat. We have tried here idli, medu wada, pav bhaji, Chinese items, masala papad, Manchurian soup etc All these items were good except Schezwan noodles. Parking is not available here, as the restaurant is on the way to main highway outside byculla railway station, plan accordingly. Seats are always available, no booking required.
