This place is good. We accidentally got into this place, after our actual place of interest didn't work. Ambience -good. Interiors - good, expensive. The central AC is chilly, you might want to get a jacket if you don't like cold. Food - I found it fine, could have been a better experience if the first thing I ordered wasn't bland. If you're here do not try their cream of mushroom soup, I didn't like it all. I've had better soups at smaller restaurants than them. This was a total disappointment. For starters I tried lemon fish - which was good. Not too sour, spicy enough to beat it, well cooked. Next, we had Garlic Paneer, and some dish of chana, both were good. For main course, we ordered Meethi Malai and some Paneer dish with garlic naan, it served fine. It wasn't anything outrageous for me to exaggerate. It's a bit of an expensive restaurant, so anything you buy is priced more than you would hope for, and more than the actual cost is. Is it worth it? - it's good for a one time deal, atleast for someone like me, who doesn't like to eat much outside. If you're looking for fone dining, you could count this one.

One of the oldest and pristine fine dining restaurants of Nagpur. The place serves the best sizzlers in the city. The staff is moreover the same since decades. Must tries are Chicken Steak Sizzlers, Chicken Chinese Sizzlers, Kasturi Chicken, Chicken Malai Tikka, Hot Chocolate Nut Fudge. However, i had been disappointed with the food since the last 4 times. Its heartbreaking when a place like Ashoka doesn't meet with its standards. A humble request to the managers and the owners to kindly look into that matter. Last time i ordered for the chicken steak sizzler. And having eaten sizzlers for 6 years here, i fondly admire the amount and quantity of beans, carorts and other veggies that are served with it. But this time, the chicken steak seemed like a treasure hunt. It was all camouflaged under a few kilos of onion. It was disappointing. Also the crockery selection was better before the renovation. Its the loyalty that i gave 4 stars. Request to the owners to look into the matter.

Worst experience ever, went to ashoka yesterday evening to have dinner with some of my friends and paid a hefty amount of bill too just to notice that there was a cockroche in one of our jeera rice ordered , not being from nagpur I've heard about this place a lot before and is a quiet big name and the bigger surprise was that the staff there was not at all serious about the cockroche and ignored us the first time then when we approached the manager himself he denied that this could happen, we showed him the images and confirmed with the waiter to whom we have pointed it out in the first place and the manager too took it very casually like it's a every day deal and just refunded us for our jeera rice without any further action, please avoid such places at any cost such a big setup and no pest control it's pathetic to even think about, all of us were feeling nauseous afterwards

Hello everyone,

I am writing this honest review to help you understand my experience.

I had a Chicken biryani, which is too expensive. I thought it was expensive, so it might be the best biryani in the house. Later,

After a long wait, the biryani finally arrived. I'd like to suggest to the hotel authorities to improve their service; it was incredibly slow. For those looking for alternatives, there is a Westside shop nearby. You can visit there, do some shopping for necessary items, and return to your table. I'm 100% sure, Again you'll have to wait for 5-10 minutes for your order.

The biryani was salty, and it seems the hotel authorities didn't taste it before serving it to the customers. I personally felt insulted, and it appears they don't value their customers.

I'm not sure what kind of chicken pieces were in the biryani, but they all seemed to be boiled with a very small quantity of rice. Please improve the quantity of rice and preparation. Don't simply add excessive masalas. This is a big hotel, and I did not expect so much masala in the biryani. I felt like I was sitting in a 3-star hotel and eating roadside biryani.

Please offer refreshments when placing the bill on the table. How could they forget such a thing? Is this how you treat your customers? Not good; it's really disrespectful.

I won't suggest anyone go there and have a bad experience. I went twice, and both times I was disappointed.

HIGHLY NOT...

This is one of the most overrated and unexpectedly one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. The staff was rude and not at all friendly. It got reflected by the way they talked to us. The food was unexpectedly so bland and unflavourful, we first ordered the old style chilli paneer which was just some fried cottage cheese with loads of chilli ( absolutely not recommended). Next we had the sizzler which was meant to be piping hot but the sizzler was not even properly warmed, even the cabbage present at the base was completely raw. When we complained the manager about it he told us he would serve us another one at free of cost but he didn't and started arguing with us at the time of the payment. In main course we had some Paneer Tikka Masala which was completely overpowered with the flavour of onions and was very sweet. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because of its poor hospitality. The way they spoke to us and the way they treated us was not what we were paying for. Absolutely overrated, very slow service and the worst hospitality...
