I recently visited the Paratha Shop and it turned out to be a delightful experience. I have tried various places across different cities, and this shop certainly stands out for several reasons. the variety they offer is impressive. Innovative fillings like paneer and mixed vegetables, there is something to satisfy every palate. I tried the classic aloo paratha and the paneer corn cheese paratha, both of which were cooked to perfection. The parathas were generously stuffed, well-spiced, and had the perfect balance of crispiness and softness. The dough was well-prepared, and the fillings were fresh and flavorful. What I particularly appreciated was the option to customize the level of spice in the parathas. This attention to detail makes it a great spot for both those who prefer mild flavors . The accompaniments served with the parathas, including curd, raita , butter, pickles,Chole and dal makhni were also of high quality and added to the overall experience. The curd was thick and creamy, and the types of pickles had the right amount of tanginess to complement the parathas. The ambiance of the shop is awesome, blending a modern yet cozy vibe that enhances the dining experience. It’s clean, well-lit, and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. The decor is simple but tasteful, adding to the overall charm without overwhelming the senses. The service was prompt and the staff was courteous, making the dining experience even more pleasant. Price-wise, the parathas are reasonably priced considering the portion size and quality one paratha is enough for two it’s very heavy . It's great value for money, especially if you're looking for a hearty meal that leaves you satisfied. Overall, the Paratha Shop is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys delicious, well-made parathas in a comfortable setting. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is worth a stop. I'll definitely be returning to try...
Read moreAbsolutely Disastrous Service at The New Parantha Shop. The owner’s family was more important than me booking a table a day before. No value for our time.
I had the misfortune of visiting The New Parantha Shop today, hoping to host a simple lunch for 10 of my work colleagues. As I only had a 30-minute lunch break, I went the day before to book a table and place an order in advance to avoid any issues. The manager, however, casually dismissed my concerns and assured me that everything would be handled seamlessly. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
When I arrived today with my colleagues, not only did the manager fail to honour his promise, but we were also left waiting for 30 minutes for a table because a large family had taken the one that was supposed to be reserved for us. This turned out to the owner’s family. This was despite the fact that we had confirmed our booking the day before.
To make matters worse, the staff took forever to process our orders, and when we politely asked for an update, they had the audacity to shout at us. Not only was this unprofessional, but it was also completely unacceptable. After most of my colleagues had finished their meals, two of them were still waiting for their food. After waiting for the entire time, we were told that the items were unavailable—a complete disregard for basic customer service.
On top of all this, the way they treated us, and all the women in our group, was completely disrespectful. There was no semblance of courtesy or professionalism. The sheer incompetence and rudeness displayed by both the manager and the staff were beyond frustrating.
This was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had, and I will never be returning to this establishment. If you value your time, money, and dignity, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid The New Parantha Shop...
Read moreWas fortunate to visit this place recently based on a recommendation from a friend. Had ordered Gobi Green Peas Paratha. I was blown away by the taste. Very well made with proper stuffing of gobi and peas. It felt made just right and wasnt just disintegrating away into different layers once you try to break pieces to eat. They had provided four items to eat the Paratha with - again very unusual for such places but that's what makes this place stand out from the rest. Dal makhani - the first item - which was just perfect. Cholay - second item - which was good but can be even better. This was the one and only item that had any improvements possible. The boondi raita - I have never eaten this good raita in any part of India ever. I am open to be proven wrong of course but it is that good. You have to try this at any cost and I ended up taking it 3 more times and I still felt later I should have crammed even more. And the 4th item - butter - the classic. Any paratha is not a paratha till this is applied and eaten with. Go ahead and enjoy the hundreds of types of paratha that they have in the menu. I am sure it will take years and years to try all those and even more sure that each and every one of them would be amazing. The ambience is good too with a hidden handwash....
