Food - 1/5 (Shruti's Chef has changed I guess) Ambience - 1/5 (Nobody goes for the ambience but still) Service - 0/5 (Too Late)
The worst experience I have ever had. Shruti used to be really good but unfortunately what happened today has changed my perception towards it.
Firstly, we were the first one to order food, others came quite late after us. The waiter took our order first and we were the last ones to get served. When asked why it took so long, the reply of the waiter shocked me and my family, " Mix Veg ko toh time lagta hai na sir, baaki Marathi dishes sab jaldi ban jata hai!" I counter argued, "Acha, baaki sab table pe logo ne marathi dishes hi mangwaye hai kya?" His response was pathetic and had no base.
Secondly, the chinese dish came first and here we are still waiting for Mix Veg and Parathas. The rest of the orders are being fulfilled in front of us, as if they were deliberately making us wait for raising questions!
Lastly, the taste was terrible, never had such a terrible mixed veg ever in my life. The chinese items were horrible too. Can't deny the fact that I was expecting Chinese to be good from Shruti. When took all of this to the restaurant owner to raise a complaint, he didn't bat an eye and laughed it off as if it were nothing.
All in all, I am never ever ordering anything from Shruti ever again nor am I going...
Read moreThe Paneer is quite hard and didn't taste like Paneer at all. The restaurant should inform this to the customer for them to decide. But if the order comes to the table and then I get to know Paneer is hard, I only have two options.... Eat, pay and promise yourself to never return or make a scene for refund.
I ate quietly and paid too. If the restaurant feels that Paneer is not Maharashtrian then they shouldn't have it in the Menu in the first place, else they should serve fresh and soft paneer Only.
The Shrikhand wasn't their own and hence not fresh. It wasn't even a Shrikhand of some renowned tested and trusted brands like Mother Dairy/Vaarna/Amul. It was some local small vendor brand and we don't know if the acidity regulators and colours used are really approved and healthy.
The amount of clientele Shruti has, they can make little more effort to prepare their own and Shrikhand Everytime. Also, customers will surely Vote for it.
Then Menu is very dated. There is a huge scope of keeping the authenticity of Maharashtrian dishes and still adding new dishes/side dishes...
Read moreThese are the two thalis we ordered for each of us. One is 'Shruti thali' & other is 'Special Shruti thali'. The shruti thali (cost -150/- +GST) was provided with 5 rotis, rice, two types of sabzi, 1dal, 1 kadi, salad & papad. The taste was so authentic, according to Maharashtrian cuisine. Perfect for a lunch date. The special shruti thali (cost 238/- + GST) was provided with 3 paratha, 1 bowl of pulao, 1 paneer sabzi, 1 normal sabzi, 1 kadi, salad & papad. The combination of paratha & paneer ki sabzi was delicious 😋, pulao was okay-ish, kadi was made subtle & mild (not too strong, not too flavorless), other sabzi was tasty too. Place is always full with customers, compacted place. Its like just eat your food & go (this is the vibe I got, you can get a different vibe). The key is to be grateful 🙏 for the food, taste each flavor differently first & then mix match different flavors to heighten your experience.
