Lake view cafe — Restaurant in Nainital

I with my 5 other friends were in Nainital on 16June24. After having heavy lunch at Moonlight restaurant we went from a stroll by the lake. After a while my wife suggested to chill at Lake view cafe as used the loo upstairs while having lunch and she really liked the ambience. I along with my wife & kid visited and requested for the menu. The asked for suggestion to which waiter responded "maine menu nai padha hai Mera dusra din hai yahan" without a remorse. I asked what is in passion fruit smoothie as the kid was also to taste, to which he responded "sir aap order karo yahan sab aacha hai, mujhe nai pata isme kya hota hai". I ordered a smoothie first and chill as the waiter was already weird. Even before the smoothie arrived the same guy pokes me while I am sitting in balcony in a very bad Delhi tone " sir apka kya hai", very strange he did not recognise me from inside. I struck a conversation with him to which he told me he was previously waiting at a bar in gurgaon sector 18. Anyway I avoided him and did not want him to wait me. We had decided to eat something and chill some more time here as we liked the place. He pokes us again, to which I ordered something and he responded "ye nai milega abhi" and there some confusion as he was not checking it from the kitchen. I confronted him "bhaiya aache se baat karlo" to which he got angry and started fighting me in front of my wife & kid. I asked help from the counter that I needed to speak to manager, he responds he himself is the manager. Everyone started saving him suddenly when I asked his name!

If you are the owner of this place you clearly have anger issues and if you are the employee you and not fit for this job on how to converse with your customers & you are very hostile.

I immediately asked for the bill which was again differing from the rate mentioned on menu, gotten it rectified and paid the bill.

After a long and tiring day, before boarding the cab back to Haldwani we stopped here to have a proper lunch. Okay so the ambience was really awesome. We chose to sit outside because there is this lake(Naina) nearby which resulted in some really beautiful views. The Hot chocolate and the Black coffee was good. We took some time and ordered pancakes but due to seasonal unavailability of some fruits the taste wasn't up to the mark. Then we got toast with eggs, I know this is a very basic dish and nobody can get it wrong right? Yes the eggs were tasty along with the toast.
