Dilli Darbar Deluxe- Restaurant — Restaurant in Nainital

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Nainital, and one of the highlights of my trip was having lunch at Delhi Darbar. The restaurant is known for its vibrant atmosphere and a variety of traditional dishes, and I was eager to try their offerings.

For my meal, I ordered the Handi Chicken and Paneer Lalab Bar. Both dishes were quite delightful and showcased the rich flavors I was expecting from a restaurant with such a reputation.

The Handi Chicken was tender, and the spices were well-blended, offering a satisfying depth of flavor. However, while it was tasty, I felt that the chicken could have been cooked a bit longer for a more succulent texture. There was room for improvement in the seasoning of the chicken itself, as it could use a touch more marination to enhance the overall experience.

On the other hand, the Paneer Lalab Bar was fantastic. The paneer was soft and perfectly grilled, with a flavorful coating that balanced the spices without being overwhelming. It paired wonderfully with the accompanying chutney and was a definite standout of the meal.

Overall, the meal at Delhi Darbar was enjoyable, and while the Handi Chicken could use a bit of refinement, the Paneer Lalab Bar made up for it. I'd recommend this spot to anyone visiting Nainital, and I look forward to trying more dishes from their menu on...

No idea why this place is rated so low when the experience is entirely opposite. The food here is kickass and at times even beat zooby's food quality. We ordered tawa chaap, tandoori chicken and chilli garlic noodles and everything tasted abaolutely great. No complaints at all. The chicken was fresh and tender, the noodles were very tasty and the highlight was the tawa chaap... Simply superb! Loved the food and the ambience, fresh air gushing from the windows that open to the naini lake added to the entire experience of having food by the lake. The portions are sufficient for the price too and so are the prices. We visited this place since zoobys was running on waiting and glad we did. After we are here once, we didnt go back to zoobys at all. The food here is fresh and spices are adjusted to your preference. I never had that level of worst taste of biryani. And when server bring my food to the table that round plate was dusty and the chef they just put my food on that dusty plate when I showed them they just changed the plate that’s it and in that biryani there was only 2 pieces of mutton and there was no meat in that when I ask to the server he said I’ll bring more but I refused I ordered matka mutton biryani but they bring that in a normal round plate then why they mentioned matka biryani I didn’t understand and the taste was also worst ..and moreover in that biryani there was lot of whole black pepper corn I never seen any other place whole black pepper corn on biryani this was my first and last time here highly disappointed and never recommend to anyone don’t waste your hard earn money in this restaurant service was also worst my experience was so worst here and prices are too high according to the place worst food...
