Achija — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

Rudest staff ever. The employees behave as if they absolutely hate working there. The “manager” of this location should not have a job in the service industry, period. My mother, along with her friends had a reservation on Feb 23rd, 2024. They reached about an hour late because of traffic, and were greeted with total disrespect. The manager and a couple other employees utterly embarrassed and totally humiliated the women (most of them are senior citizens), because apparently it’s the restaurant policy to vilify patrons who arrive late in front of other patrons. They don’t like to consider the traffic in the greater Mumbai region, or that someone may have a good personal reason not being able to arrive in time. They were rude the whole time, yelled at these poor old women, tossed plates, serving the food in blinding rage and saying very unprofessional things out loud intentionally so that everyone else can hear how these poor women who arrive an hour late for their 3 hours reservation were humiliated. And for what?!?! My mother is 62 years old and she said she has never felt more humiliated in a restaurant by an employee in her life. These people work in service industry and do not even have basic common sense to engage with the customers with basic respect. I recommend avoiding this restaurant at all cost, unless you fetishize getting disrespected and yelled at by a “2 kaudi ka manager” while you desire a good time together over a meal with your friends, family, or loved ones. And god knows what kind of food quality they maintain especially for people who they are angry with. Such employees might be capable of tampering with the food before serving if they don’t like the customers. They may spit on food or blow their nose all over the food, just out of spite, because their hatred towards the customers is outrageous, and people usually don’t take good decisions when blinded with rage. A series matter , pls read this completely. An incident took place at Vashi Achija on 10/07/24 in the evening around 8pm which I would like to share with all of you. They have a gap in the partition of the connected washrooms. A girl went to the ladies washroom at the same time one of their staff called Sarafat Ali entered the gents washroom which is just next to the ladies and from that gap he clicked her pics. Girl realised somebody clicked pics so she immediately came out and caught that guy red handed. He deleted her pics but the girl started crying. We were seeing all that we understood what happened. We then stood by the girl and fought for her, also we called the police all that happened. Being a common man or woman I think of this whole incident there are many questions raised in my mind. First there are 2 washrooms that are going to be used by 2 different genders then why they have to keep that gap in between. Why didn't they ensure ladies safety. Second is we realised they hired that staff without police verification. When we asked them. They had no answer. When the girl informed them and she was crying they didn't help the girl at all and they in fact tried to protect their staff. When we raised our voices and shouted in the public then they handed him over to the police. Otherwise they were very calm. That's what's really bothering us. I don't recommend Achija just because of their response towards the customer or the incident. I request all of you not to buy anything from Achija. Ladies pls be careful wherever you go, pls ensure your safety before you use any...

Achija is one fine restaurant to have a good dining experience with friends and Family.

Food Tried : 1- Masal Pav Sandwich: Good combination of bombay style masal pav and sandwich. Taste is great and club of sandwich is yummy. Must try 2- Paneer Pahadi Tikka : Flavorful Tandoor made tikka with tasty marination and well cooked. Good starter. 3- Veg Maharaja : Red gravy with veg Kofta , taste are balanced along with spice level. Good quantity for 3 -4 people. 4- Cheese Garlic Naan: Must try, single naan is enough to fill you tummy. 5- Veg Biryani : Biryani was tasty and quantity is sufficient for 2-3 people. Vegetables were well cooked in biryani and spices are well balanced with medium spicy taste.

Multiple options for Chat, pani puri, Pav bhaji sandwiches etc.

Complimentary Green Chutney served on table is delicious, msut try.

Ambience: Place is well managed and decorated. Sitting arrangements are good and restaurant staff manages the valet parking.

Pricing is slightly on abive average side but goes well along with taste and Ambience that is offered. So worth the experience.

Overall its a great place to have lunch and dinner .
