Day light robbery filled with disinterested staff. With reviews I visited the place. Sat on the table right next to the kitchen door. At after 4min (which is a lot in an almost empty restaurant) and two reminders I get a waiter who asks what I want to have. I said I don't know what you get and asked him for the menu. I decided to go for the thali, @ ₹250, so I get to taste a variety of stuff they cooked. The palak soup was good, a bit salty though. Later came the thali with a mix veg sabji, paneer sabji, dal, roti, papad, a gulab jamun and butter milk. I expected the food to be prepared in a non commercial method and would be unique to a state or similar to home cooked food. But totally commercial!! The mix veg was the same red gravy with parboiled veggies, and paneer in a yellow gravy...Dal was ok. Rotis were mixed with maida and seemed to be a bit uncooked. Drenched in a mixture of oil and ghee. The thali had limited rotis and rice which is understood, but limited sabji or dal was a real turnoff. My argument is..Some just dip roti in gravy or veg and others eat a spoonful for every bite. So an extra portion of dal, sabji or the paneer was charged extra. Which is unfair. How much sabji will anyone have with 3 rotis and a small bowl of rice. ? The gulab jamun was good too. Rest of the food was not as expected. Thali would be worth 120 or...
Read moreI visited this restaurant for lunch on a week day and to my surpise it was empty. They serve typical veg thali style and offer a la carte choices as well. I ordered their special thali INR 385, Papad Choori INR 160 and Jowar Roti INR 60. The thali consisted of 1 Gulab Jamun, 1 veg sabzi, 1 paneer sabzi, raita, dal fry, 3 chapatis with desi ghee, 1 papad and a small bowl of veg pulav. Papad churi was amazing. Fried papad mixed with spices, loads of onion and a topping of fresh coriander. The dal fry was extraordinary. Nice and creamy with a thick layer of fried onions and desi ghee. The chapatis were dripping with desi ghee and were hot and soft. The jowar roti was very soft, smeared with desi ghee and definitely winner of the day. Buttermilk is not included in their special thali which was a big disappointment.
Food was served piping hot but it cools off quickly...so try to finish fast before the taste wears off. The quantity of limited thali is more than enough for one person and I was unable to finish it all.
Overall ambience, quality of food and service was excellent. Highly recommended for all those who enjoy eating pure...
Read moreVisited this so called place on weekday, not much crowd. After sitting for more then 5 min, none of the staff bothered to attend the table, had to call them "Aja mere bhai menu card leke aja.. " After selecting the menu, then again have to wait for long ime for the waiter to attend the table. Have to call multiple times to take order. Ordered veg Maratha .. To my surprise they just gave Veg kolhapuri / mix veg ki sabji. When asked they say "Aise hi banta hai yaha". FYI for chefs in hotel , please do google for Veg Maratha.. it contains veg cutlets cooked in gravy. Not the one which you just pushed to the table. Ordered fried papad at the very start of the Lunch, but came just at the end of it. Had to remind them multiple times for it. The roti was very Hard.. Old elderly person wont be able to take a single byte of it. The price of all the food items are too high, and in return we get only disappointment.
The waiters are in their own world, not even bothered about Customer. Multiple times have to call them just to fill a single glass of water.. Very pathetic.. The overall ambience is also very dull.. Just a big NO...
