Decent food with consistent taste, but indoor dining space needs better ventilation and hygiene.
I’ve been ordering from House of Flavours for quite some time now as it’s conveniently located inside Akshar Business Park, and recently I’ve also visited the place a few times for lunch. Overall, it’s a decent option for office-goers, but there are a few things that could be improved.
🍽️ Food Experience: I’ve tried a variety of items from their menu — the Chicken Thali, Pot Rice, and Shawarma. Each dish is decent in taste — not exceptional, but not bad either. It’s the kind of place where you get reliable, everyday food that fills you up. The Chicken Thali is well-portioned and quite satisfying, while the Pot Rice has a nice balance of flavor and spice. Shawarma is decent as a quick snack, though not the most authentic version.
🏠 Ambience & Ventilation: The dining area is enclosed, but that becomes a downside rather than a plus. It gets quite hot and stuffy inside, especially during lunchtime when the place is crowded. The lack of proper air circulation or cooling makes it uncomfortable to sit and enjoy your meal. On top of that, there are often flies inside, which brings down the overall hygiene and dining experience. This is definitely an area that needs urgent attention.
👨🍳 Service: The staff is polite and responsive. They try to manage well even during rush hours, and the food is usually served on time. Since it's a popular spot among nearby office employees, it can get quite busy during peak lunch hours.
💰 Value for Money: Pricing is fair and portions are satisfying, which makes it a good everyday lunch spot for people working in and around Akshar Business Park. It’s affordable and better than many nearby options when it comes to quantity and...
Read moreI visited this outlet for the first time and honestly, it was a very disappointing experience. Right from the start, the staff kept asking what I wanted to order even before I had a chance to check the menu, almost like they were in a hurry to close the outlet.
I ordered a Chicken Dum Biryani, expecting it to be served quickly since biryani is usually pre-prepared and ideal for a quick lunch. Instead, it took them more than 20 minutes to serve, which completely defeated the purpose of choosing it during my lunch break.
When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t authentic biryani at all. What they served was more like fried rice with a few chicken pieces and some gravy poured on top. Definitely not what one would call "Dum Biryani."
Overall, the service was rushed, the waiting time was long, and the food did not match the name or expectation. Worst experience I wouldn’t recommend this outlet if you’re looking for...
