Today afternoon, I revisited The Kerala Table after almost six months—and what a heartwarming experience it turned out to be! The last time I went there, it was with a friend, and we had a great time. So for my brother’s birthday today, I decided to take my entire family. Honestly, I was a bit nervous—my family is quite picky when it comes to food, and I wasn’t sure if they’d enjoy it as much as I had.

But from the moment we stepped in, I knew I had made the right choice. I don’t even know where to begin—everything was simply perfect! The ambience was calm and inviting, the music added a soulful vibe to the space, and the staff was so warm, attentive, and courteous throughout. But let’s talk about the real star of the show—the food.

Every single dish we ordered was packed with flavour, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. We tried: • Prawns Mango Curry – a perfect balance of tangy and creamy, it’s a flavour bomb. • Kerala Parotta – soft, flaky, and the perfect accompaniment. • Chatti Pomfret Fish Curry – the richness of the curry and the freshness of the fish were unbeatable. • Thalassery Ghee Rice – so fragrant and comforting. • Thalassery Prawns Biryani – hands down, one of the best biryanis we’ve had in a long time! • Pomfret Tawa Fry and Surmai Tawa Fry – fresh, perfectly marinated, and seared just right. • Prawns Coconut Roast – rich, spicy, and oh-so-delicious. • And the refreshing Pineapple Mojito just added the perfect tropical touch to the meal.

We were genuinely blown away. My family, despite being very selective with their tastes, absolutely loved every dish. It made the birthday lunch extra special and memorable.

A huge shoutout to The Kerala Table for maintaining such amazing standards in every aspect—from hospitality to flavours. I’m so glad I chose this place again. And I can’t recommend it enough!

If you’re planning to go, don’t miss out on the Thalassery Biryani, Mango Prawns Curry, and Pomfret Fry – these are absolute must-haves!

Already looking forward to...

Horrible experience. This is not an authentic Kerala restaurant, none of the dishes have any kerala cuisine flavour. Firstly we asked for pineapple kulukki but were disappointed as we were told that other than buttermilk and lemon juice nothing else is available. But after sometime we see pineapple kulukki being served at other table. Firstly ordered paal chicken parotta. The parottas were not even cooked properly so it was rubbery and chewy. Then ordered Kerala rice with fresh mango prawns fish curry. Thoroughly disappointed again as there was no raw mango or mango flavour in the curry. There has to be sourness if raw mango is added in any form but it was totally missing. The prawns in the curry was not even cleaned and deveined properly could clearly see black veins intact on the prawns. Ordered kanthari fish tawa fry. Kanthari chilli is known for its extreme spicy flavour and this fry was zero spicy so we r very sure kanthari chilli has not been used at all in the fry. It is just a marketting gimmick. The fish was dripping in extreme oil and totally flavourless. Totally horrible experience. The portion sizes of all dishes are so less that it can serve only 1 person and not at all worth the high price charged.

Now comes the scariest part. As soon as we left the restaurant I started feeling nausea and uneasy feeling in the stomach. My husband as well started experiencing uneasiness after sometime. We cancelled all our further plans and somehow hurriedly reached home. Now both of us are down with a bad upset stomach, vomitting etc. If 1 person got affected it can be that the food did not suit the person but since both of us faced health issues we are sure there is food quality issue. Also seems like there is cooking soda added in any of the dishes, must be the rice. Service is also very very slow. Will never ever again visit or recommend this...

From the moment you step into The Kerala Table, you’re transported straight to the heart of Southern India. The ambience blends traditional Kerala charm with modern elegance, making you feel both at home and immersed in a cultural experience. The soft lighting, wooden accents, and gentle Indian instrumental music in the background create a serene atmosphere—perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

When it comes to the food, The Kerala Table truly excels. Each dish is a beautiful reflection of Kerala’s rich culinary heritage, offering a perfect balance of spices, fresh ingredients, and unique flavors. The menu features a variety of coastal delicacies, from fragrant fish starters to sweet payasam, all prepared with precision and authenticity. The taste is vibrant, yet harmonious—spicy but never overwhelming, with each bite unveiling a different layer of flavor.

The highlight is the careful attention given to the details, from the aroma of freshly ground spices to the delicate textures in the dishes. The use of local ingredients, such as coconut, curry leaves, and tamarind, is masterful, bringing the taste of Kerala to life with every mouthful.

Service here is equally impressive. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and eager to share insights about the dishes and the traditions behind them. Whether it’s guiding you through the menu or offering the perfect drink pairing, the team ensures that you feel cared for throughout the meal, striking a balance between professionalism and personal attention.

In all, The Kerala Table offers a memorable dining experience, where both food and service come together in a perfect symphony. If you're looking to explore Kerala’s rich culinary culture, this is the place to go.

Highly recommend it for anyone craving an authentic, yet refined...

Very bad Restuarant claiming to be authentic nothing about the dishes is authentic. All the staff other than 2-3people including the chef id not keralite Yes staff could be other people I do agree but atleast they should be trained regarding their menu... Such a poor service they have. Had booked seats and still no table was reserved and once the table was received the first thing we ordered was ATTINKAAL SOUP meaning goat leg soup.. to our surprise they served mutton curry ras claiming soup.. From that moment we were in strong doubt that the cook was not keralite. Then came our second dish the starter Kozhikariweppila fry fried chicken with curry leaves. Which was very deep fried. We had lost hope. Then the main course we ordered Kappa (tapioca) Surumai fishmolly which instead received pomfret fishmolly. Mathithoran was. Ordered it was ok ok. Wheat porotta was ok ok. The last dish was Chettinad pot rice which was another disaster. My Kappa was the low quality bitter and hard type I hated it. We had to wait around 45min for the main course. Lastly we got 3limejuices with soda which was also poor. Paid 3900 for such a bad experience. AS A KERALITE I WILLNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. KERALA BHAVAN is where I would recommend you if you want authentic Kerala food which is budget friendly and Is very good. Not visiting the place ever! Fake Looters.

Kerala Table, Vashi – A Slice of Kerala in the Heart of the City If you're craving authentic Kerala flavors in Navi Mumbai, Kerala Table in Vashi is an absolute must-visit. This cozy, well-decorated gem brings the soulful tastes of God's Own Country straight to your plate. We tried their Fish Chattichoru and Chicken Chattichoru, and both were packed with rich, home-style spices, wrapped beautifully in banana leaves — just the way it’s served back in Kerala. The fish was perfectly cooked, flaky and flavorful, while the chicken version had a delicious, fiery punch. But the showstopper for us was the Tender Coconut Prawns — tender, juicy prawns cooked in a subtly sweet and creamy coconut sauce that hits all the right notes. It’s the kind of dish you’ll be dreaming about long after your meal. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we ended with their Jackfruit Ice Cream. It’s easily one of the best we've had — creamy, fragrant, and a perfect tribute to Kerala’s beloved fruit. A unique dessert that wraps up the meal beautifully. Overall, Kerala Table offers a nostalgic, flavorful experience with generous portions, friendly service, and a truly authentic touch. Whether you're a Malayali missing home food or just a curious foodie, this place is a delightful escape into Kerala’s culinary treasures

Visited The Kerala Table for lunch. The location is easily accessible and the ambience was pleasant. We ordered the Sadhya Thali, which was nice overall. The prawns served with the thali were very tasty, but the chicken gravy was just average — nothing special. We also ordered the Meen Pollichathu (surmai fish wrapped and cooked in a dry tomato-onion masala). Unfortunately, the masala was far too sour for me. Despite being Konkani and quite familiar with kokum and sour flavors, I found it almost at a “pickle-level” sourness, making it hard to eat. For drinks, we ordered the Mango and Pineapple Kulukki, but what we got were essentially mojitos — definitely not what we expected. Service was a major letdown. While the 30-minute wait to get a table during rush hour was understandable, the service itself was extremely slow. We had to repeatedly remind the staff for everything, and even the bill took another 30 minutes to arrive. I asked for a QR code to pay, but the server never returned with it. Overall, I doubt I would visit again.
