Merwans Cake Shop — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

Hi...I was very much dissatisfied and disappointed by the two female staff at Mervans Vashi Sec 10, Navi Mumbai opposite Navi Mumbai Mahanagarpalika. I had ordered a Caramel cake on 5th October 2024 evening around 8.25 pm along with a friend of mine. I made full payment of Rs 580/- I was supposed to collect it today at 4 pm. Unfortunately I forgot to carry the receipt with me...and due to me keeping unwell I forgot what cake it was and I blurted out that it was a butterscotch cake. The gents attendant over there was very cooperative but the two ladies out there turned out to be very hostile and started acting cynical. They told me to get the receipt or dictate what was written in the receipt...as no records were being posted on the system. All I could show them was the total payment that I had remitted to them via gpay as full payment made for the cake to which them girls would still not comply insisting that I get the receipt to which I got annoyed and argument broke loose. Ultimately she pointed out the cake and in a very irritating and irritable manner packed the cake and gesticulated that I leave the shop premises. Look...I have been a regular customer here and none of the staff members have ever treated me this badly. They have always been coordial and very cooperative. This incident was a total shock and left me disheartened..and disappointed. Bad experience indeed....tsk tsk tsk...sad!!! This is what happens when an organisation has no control over...

I don't know what is the problem with people. I've went to merwans multiple times with all of them being good experiences. I was suprised to see that there were BAD REVIEWS?! The preceding reviews describe customer service as bad. But lady you need to show proof of ownership of the cake you bought. People at the counter cant help you with your order if you yourself don't know what you ordered.

Anyways, here's my review: When I arrived there presumably at 3 40 pm, the store was quite packed. So I waited until everyone had finished ordering. I got the chicken gologne or something and a chicken patty. Here's my opinion: Chicken patties are Fantastic. Not too much chicken in them but what do you expect for ₹18? Definitely worth it. If the standard is bland for you try the tandoori chicken patty or garlic chicken patty . The chicken something something: forgot the name but it's ingredients are butter , chicken and bun. Awesome. It tasted like butter bun combined with chicken tikka, which was a perfect combo. For ₹30 it's smaller than what I expected but it's very tasty.

Some other suggestions from my side are: Try their mini pizza. They taste really good. Their pastries and cakes are some of the best I've had.

Edit: I visited merwans again today. Got 4 patties : 2 chicken 1 tandoori and garlic chicken. The tandoori and garlic chicken patty was good but the chicken patty...
