Gave a visit to this restaurant after seeing my other co-bloggers posts. This place is near Bikaner, Sanjog restaurant but Little on the interior part, so you better turn on google maps.
The Restaurant is small but beautifully setup , with double decker sitting as well. The upper deck sitting was looking little uncomfortable but kudos to thinking and managing the space restrictions beautifully!
The ambience is beautiful & cozy with dimmed lights... graffiti on the walls. Loved the 😺 wall painting with led lights bordering the eyes near the hand wash basin area.
Coming to the food...der menu is designed unique, it was loaded with food images. Dishes name and pictures were all over the place. Its new but few things need to be kept simple. As seen with the bigger brands, they are moving towards simplicity be it logo or the menu they keep it minimalistic. Confused with the menu, we ordered Chicken Tandoori momos and asked the restuarant staff to recommend and suggest us what we can try...
The owner (I assume) guided us well, he suggested us on the menu and off the menu (new innovative dishes to be added soon to the menu). We went for the chicken boxer rice.
Its basically chicken fried rice inside egg omelette topped with gravy with chicken pcs.
Frankly speaking, sorry but we didn't liked it much coz it was lacking VEGGIES!!! der were almost no veggies, neither in rice nor in gravy. It was just chicken egg...nd in gravy too it was only chicken pcs!! We would have loved the it if it had veggies in it! Atleast in gravy. We missed the STIR FRIED TASTE of veggies in it. Which is the heart of Chinese cuisine.
But yes the chicken tandoori momos were pretty good. Dey were soft juicy and had the perfect tandoori charcoal taste in it. It was served with pudina chutney. I enjoyed it!!!
Few suggestions:
The tables are quiet spacious , please keep water jug so the guests have a regular water option too instead of compelling to pay and buy mineral water. Its not dat they can't afford it but still it's better to keep it optional rather than compelling.
Menu can be designed with simplicity! Instead of images all over. Dish description can be written below each item, describing the dishes which is unique than usual.
Add veggies in the chicken boxer rice! For reference youtube, "Chicken boxer rice my kind of production" Mohsin Khan has covered the whole making. It had exotic veggies too.
Service could be little more faster.
Pest control required. Its a restaurant, an eatery place and we saw 2 lil cockroaches around our table. I knw getting rid of them is a huge headache but do invest frequently on pest controlling. But but Special mention to the restaurant owner and the staff for being very welcoming and open for feedback about the food served.
Specially the owner being passionate about his dishes, and suggesting innovative items to try on. He also passionately served us the food.
Hope the management takes the suggestion as a constructive criticism and do work on it.
Yes nothing and no one is perfect in this world. Everyone is improving day by day...The management seems to be on a its initial experiment mode and dey can definately turnaround and fix...
Read moreWe tried Veg Siu Mai and Veg Mushroom Sizzler
Siu Mai - 4/5 (Good)
Mushroom Sizzler - 2/5 (too oily, very basic taste, not an asian food)
Mint Mojito - 3/5 (Basic taste, served without ice)
The place is too small. Seatings available are not comfortable for longer hours. The order took long for us. However, the staff was kind enough to apologise for the delay.
Only 1 guy was managing both the dine-in orders and zomato/swiggy deliveries. Others were not quite available. We had to ask for side servings for Siu Mai and Sizzler.
We went to this place after watching a reel on Instagram and were disappointed. If you want to try their food, I would suggest ordering to your place as that would save some of your time.
Also, we felt the place is more famous among the college and the younger crowd who know the people and owner, personally. And, the reviews across this pin are true.
The place has it's own pros and cons. It has the potential to be a foodie frenzy provided all the shortcomings are taken care of.
Overall rating - 3/5
Cleanliness - 2/5 (+1 as this one has a restroom despite small carpet area)
Vibe - 4/5 (Good song selection)
Menu - 4/5 (Good offerings for price)
Taste - 2.5/5 (Satisfactory Vegetarian Food)
What could be improved:...
Read moreBeen to this place appx a year ago and everything was perfect. The place is small but it was crowded, service was slightly slow but the staff was very alert and attentive. Food was very good and attitude of management was very welcoming.
Come today and everything has changed for worse. No crowd, below par food and third grade service. The person on desk was least bothered with incoming customers. We were 5 of us and he brought just 4 quarter plates for starters, When the ramen came, he again came with 4 spoons only. When asked for bowls, he came with 2 bowls only. Basic things like these which should be taken care of by default and we had to ask. This was the situation when there were no guests except us. There was no attention, no promptness. Infact, he was busy watching reels on phone with loud noise. I had to tell him to reduce the volume. The overall attitude of staff was like, "Why did you come to disturb us? We were better at peace without customers." Looking at stark contrast in service, I asked if the management was changed and he replied "Yes".
So advice to new management is, change the attitude of staff or change the staff. Continue only if you want to improve the service or better change the...
