One of the biggest chain in Mumbai!!!
Pop Tate's has more than 10 outlets in Mumbai. This place has only indoor seating. Walls are decorated with posters from old age movies and music gigs. Compartments are made between the tables by Abacus like metal rods. No outdoor seating but a small dedicated smoking zone is provided (4-5 occupancy at max).
Food is cheap compared to their setup. We ordered Barbeque Chicken Pizza (300rs only for large size). We also had Peanut Masala, cheap dish to order if you have full stomach for food but still willing to have beer. Service is bit slow even when half the tables were empty and that too on weekday. There are yellow coloured dishes in the menu which are Chef's special. Next time will order those to save the time and have better experience. They do have 'Smiley Hours' as they call but deals are given on those drinks which we don't order normally. Suggestion is to change the offers or don't give it at all.
Overall: This place can be preferred for throwing a budget birthday party or just a casual meet with friends for...
Read moreQuite costly but it the food is almost good enough.
Ordered the chicken Ceaser salad, it was amazing, perfectly cooked chicken, good croutons, great lettuce and perfect dressing sauce. Definitely a must try. For the main course, ordered fajita chicken bowl, the quantity was very good, it came with 4 flavorful lean chicken and coriander rice which was also good along with rajma. In the sizzler section, ordered mexi chicken sizzler, it came with whole chicken breasts stuffed with spinach and mushrooms which was very good as well but would have been better with more of the sauce, the rice provided was not that good, it always lacks taste in every sizzler that I have tried, mildly undercooked colored but no flavour; fries, mashed potatoes were good. Also the mocktail I ordered was virgin sangria, quite tangy, a bit overpowered zest but overall good to drink.
The only thing which the restaurant should improve is the rice, I don't know if the rice itself is not of good quality or if it's not prepared properly, all the rice dishes must be revaluated...
Read moreThis pop tates is following some unethical practices and not following government laws. Guys be aware that pop tates by default include service changes in bill and these changes can not be mandatory to pay if we liked the services we can tip whatever we want but here they are forcing and collecting this amount from everyone and upon asking them to deduct service charges they denied by saying “Ye paisa hum sab waiter’s mai distribute hoga” . Guys how can this happen? They have around 50 tables so all serving one table at a one time ? No right , so why to demand money in this way ? Guys just think they are collecting services changers from each and every table that too all day and night just imagine how much they are making by fooling everyone. And if you ask them to remove charges they will try to convince you. Do not fall for this trick. If you really want to tip someone directly give them money or to needy people but ye kya tarika ho gaya bheekh mangne ka ? And soon legal action will take taken...
