Railway Platform Feel at airport lounge👌
Delhi was almost like lockdown due to G20 meeting and T1 departure was nearly empty during evening time (I am regular at T1). Majority passengers inside T1 were transit / transfer and crowd was very less compared to regular days . The lounge was almost full and I can imagine it's condition when T1 operates with full capacity.
Location ... This lounge is on the left at mezzanine floor on the left as you walk out of security check . It is just above food court sign board . Mind that huge billboard covering the lounge visibility else you may miss it .
First thing first ... Self check in was not working . There was a small queue at the entry. Two counters were open and I could observe persons before me. The first one flashed about 6-7 cards out of them 1 worked before 3 rejections declared by the staff at the entry . The person in the other queue appeared a tour operator having about 10-15 cards and making sure entire party goes inside. The person just before me produced 3 cards and all were declined (HDFC regalia , ICICI Corel and some other one). Fortunately my single card got accepted and I was allowed inside for a nominal fee of Rs 2.
Atmosphere ... It is very small lounge with very limited space . It was crowded and loud with people talking / discussing in loud voice , crying kids around , people walking without minding others foot , pushing and much more . People sitting on sofa with legs up was a common feature . Staff was polite and well behaved though . I could see some pilots in cut and run mode at the dining area.
Finding a place to sit ... Almost all comfortable seats were occupied but dining area had vacant seats inside. I could get a seat .
Alcohol ... They serve alcohol and it was chargeable. No india made mild beer was available . King Fisher strong pint was there costing about Rs 450 . Hoggarden and corona pints were available at Rs 600.
Food ... The buffet area was bustling with crowd . Simple food items like pulav , paneer were available on buffet and nothing was exotic . Salad bar appeared decent and it tasted good. There were two desserts available (cake and odd pink coloured Kheer called Rose Kheer ... Ruh-afza infused thin liquid ). Packaged drinking was was stocked properly . Live counter from Chef was there but there was a long queue and I dropped the idea to try it. Tea coffee was available .
Toilet ... It was very busy and dropped the idea of using it .
Lounge does not deserve high rating as shown in the map because majority reviews you see are form people with single or under 5 reviews giving 5 stars and you can guess the reason. It seems people who have rated everything great have not been to good lounges . You can have a look at video and pics I have uploaded and decide about it yourself.
It seems this lounge is suffering from free lounge access credit card bug . Encalm Lounge T1 Departure Team , you need some serious...

After a recent layover at Indira Gandhi International Airport's Terminal 1D, I felt compelled to share my experience at the Encalm Lounge. As a frequent traveler, I've visited many airport lounges, but this one truly stood out.
From the moment I stepped in, the attentive staff welcomed me with warm smiles and efficient service. They anticipated needs before I even expressed them - offering a refreshing welcome drink and guiding me through the lounge facilities.
The food selection was impressive - a perfect blend of international and local cuisines. Their breakfast spread featured everything from fresh fruit platters to hot South Indian delicacies. The chef's special biryani was fragrant and flavorful, while the dessert counter offered tempting treats that were hard to resist.
What truly sets Encalm apart is the seating arrangement. Unlike cramped spaces in many airport lounges, Encalm offers plush recliners, comfortable work stations, and cozy nooks perfect for catching some rest before a flight. The strategically placed power outlets at nearly every seat show their attention to modern travelers' needs.
The ambient lighting, combined with muted announcements, creates a peaceful sanctuary away from the typical airport chaos. I particularly appreciated the spotless washrooms with premium toiletries.
If you're traveling through IGI's Terminal 1D, I highly recommend budgeting some extra time to experience the Encalm Lounge - it transforms the often stressful airport experience into a pleasant part of your...
