Nirula's Vasant Kunj — Restaurant in New Delhi

I'm born and brought up in Delhi and I grew up eating Nirulas ice creams and sundaes so I look at the chain as a distinctly Delhi thing to be proud of. I've also lived in multiple parts of the city and ordered from many outlets, but this is undoubtedly the worst outlet I've ever ordered from. In close to 5 months and around 15 orders, they have not delivered on time even ONCE. Without fail the HCF is melted EVERY SINGLE time even though the outlet is less than 1 km (5 minutes on a bike) from my place.

My latest experience was just so spectacularly bad that it's difficult to believe this could happen. Almost 50 minutes after placing an order for 2 HCFs, I called customer care to check and asked them to connect me directly to the outlet. The person I spoke to reminded me of Govinda's character in Kyon Ki Main Jhooth Nahi Bolta - he was literally not capable of telling the truth. On call he told me the order will arrive in 2-3 minutes. I deliberately kept asking him why this always happens because I wanted to engage him for 2-3 minutes and see if the order arrived. 15 minutes later and after being disconnected and reconnected with the outlet, the order had not arrived. The guy then still had the audacity to tell me that it will now come in 2-3 minutes and it will be complementary. I said do whatever you want, just tell me the truth, you're only just dispatching it, right? He JUST wouldn't admit it even though it was the most obvious thing. This went on for another 3-4 minutes and then another 5-7 minutes after hanging up, the order arrived. The guy I had spoken to had not told the delivery person that the order was free.

And now for the kicker. When we opened it, the ice cream turned out to be TOTALLY melted once again. The sundaes tasted extremely odd as well in terms of texture. It wasn't at all smooth but weirdly gritty. We realised that the plastic containers in which they'd sent it were dirty and we had to throw it away.

Came to India Delhi after a long time Was really nostalgic going past Nirulas as brought back my childhood memories in 70s and 80s it was the best place located in Connaught Place

The one in Vasant Kunj was excellent too However this trip was so so disappointing Nothing tasted good Ordered pizza was really sad and didn’t taste as it used to The mutton chop and hot chocolate was very disappointing too The old Nirula taste is missing it’s just so disappointing

The good here was the restaurant manager very nice warm and super helpful The staff was good too

They have discontinued quite a bit like Mahaburger my all time favourite

Nirula's sustenance is so scrumptious exceptionally the Mahaburger my childrens cherishes it. Pleasant place to delighted in the gathering and nourishment and frozen yogurt was great exceptionally Dessert was magnificent. I was there after so prolonged stretch of time. What a dazzling involvement with nirulas where we had tasty sustenance and finger licking dessert and nirula's frozen yogurt is unsurpassed astounding taste Nirulas has the best ever chocolate chip treats I have ever eaten in my life.
