Balaji’s Forest park — Restaurant in Odisha

Was there in the evening today and we wanted to have a quick bite. I was almost past 4 pm and this place was still open..

To be frank from outside this place ain't really that inviting. But it seems to be a huge one with enough seating. Not many people were around.

We ordered forest park special veg soup, mushroom 65, veg crispy. The best thing is that the service was really quick. We especially loved the soup as it was right to our palate and there was good quantity of veggies and paneer too. Enough for two people to eat at any time. This was the highlight for us. The biggest letdown was the mushroom 65 as it was cold and kinda rubbery too. Lacking the right amount of spice and salt too.

The guy kinda goofed up the order and though we cancelled an item but when he got to know it is a no so he immediately prepared it and asked us to wait as it would be served hot. The crispy veg was really good as it had the right crispiness with the vegetables and it was hot too.

The only drawback is that there are mosquitoes around and I really wish there was more green instead of the...

I had been a regular customer of this restaurant... Yesterday I visited it after over 5 months or so...I ordered chicken biriyani and parcelled it...I see...All the prices are hiked...Though I assumed it's inflation adjusted... It's okay to increase the prices with time...But when I ate the chicken biriyani...It was too bad...Too much oily...Too much spices...The pieces were broken apart...Almost I threw all of them...Had a terrible experience... Once upon a time...Forest park was known for making a perfect chicken biriyani recipe...Now...I can't even recommend it to others...Most probably... Yesterday's visit was my last visit to it...

I would say...I love the owner of that restaurant...He is very friendly...His vibes are cool...But sir...Please look into the matter...Maybe I think the cooks have changed...Please bring back the old cook...Or please analyse and reform...
