Read moreThoroughly disappointed with trusting the brand Bhagat Tarachand. Not sure if this is original one. Had 3 days of upset stomach after eating here. Went for lunch earlier this week and had Paneer Tikka, Paneer Amritsari, Kulcha and Naan, jeera rice and dal tadka. First thing about Paneer, it was a fake or analogue Paneer which was clear from the taste. Just a cheaper version artificial product people use for easy money. The Amritsari Paneer Masala was clearly frozen and reheated masala with some fake Paneer cubes and the dish was completely tasteless. The Kulcha and Naan both were hard and smeared with oil which spoilt the entire food mood. The jeera rice was not fresh and the signature dal was clearly stale with a topping of tadka to mask the staleness. Right that moment of the meal, we knew something wrong and experienced upset stomach later same day until 3 days. The service and staff behaviour was absolutely poor and they seemed not interested with the work they do. Avoid this place at all costs or even if you get to dine for free. Save your stomach from the fake Paneer and stale food with bad taste at an expensive price tag. Each dish is about 350 plus. Entire dining experience only put bad memories forever...
Read moreBhagat Tarachand in Mumbai is a culinary gem that truly lives up to its legendary status. The moment you walk in, the bustling yet cozy ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The service, especially Manoj who helped us with selecting dishes, is top notch and makes you feel at home.
We kicked off our meal with the papad churi, an explosion of crispy delight. Each bite was perfectly spiced, offering a tantalizing crunch that was simply addictive. Next up was the chaas – a cool, creamy buttermilk drink that was not only refreshing but also a perfect palate cleanser between bites.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the special veg thali. This vibrant platter was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, featuring an array of flavorful dishes that showcased the richness of Indian vegetarian cuisine. From creamy dals to spicy curries and perfectly cooked vegetables, every element was prepared with care and authenticity.
