Bhagat Tarachand in Mumbai is a culinary gem that truly lives up to its legendary status. The moment you walk in, the bustling yet cozy ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The service, especially Manoj who helped us with selecting dishes, is top notch and makes you feel at home. We kicked off our meal with the papad churi, an explosion of crispy delight. Each bite was perfectly spiced, offering a tantalizing crunch that was simply addictive. Next up was the chaas – a cool, creamy buttermilk drink that was not only refreshing but also a perfect palate cleanser between bites. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the special veg thali. This vibrant platter was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, featuring an array of flavorful dishes that showcased the richness of Indian vegetarian cuisine. From creamy dals to spicy curries and perfectly cooked vegetables, every element was prepared with care and authenticity. Bhagat Tarachand’s dedication to quality and tradition shines through in every dish. For anyone looking to savor the true essence of Mumbai’s culinary heritage, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended for an authentic and memorable dining experience!

Bhagat Tarachand is a fantastic pure veg legacy restaurant from Mumbai now serving in Kharghar. We ordered multiple dishes like Papad Churri, Sev Tamatar Sabji, Ghee wali Dal Fry, Dahi Vada and Chaas(buttermilk). Everything tasted fantastic. Dal and Dahi Vada were the best of all while I could avoid Papad Churri for future visits. Staff is nice and friendly but because of the rush they don't attend quickly. Although our server was helpful to not let us over-order as the quantity is decent. Manoj helped us taste Rabri and Moong Dal Halwa in sweets. Both were too good, we went ahead and ordered Rabri. It was yummmyyyy. Ample parking space. Beautiful comfortable ambience and interiors make it a comfortable restaurant to sit and order. It gets jam-packed crowded on peak meal hours on weekend so arrive early and grab your seats quick. Per person cost could range anywhere between 6-800/-. Bhagat Tarachand has multiple outlets in Mumbai, they are all run by same family but by different members. So don't worry about its authenticity or taste. However, if you want to visit the original first outlet, it's at Zaveri Bazaar Mumbai.

Love, love, love this place. Amazing food served hot. We tried special thali here, which has 2 sabzi in which paneer masala is constant, other sabzi you can choose from their option list. We chose baigan bharta. Rice/pulav- you can choose anyone, 3 butter roti, papad, raita ,dal fry and gulab jamun. We also ordered dal khicdi which was yummm, corn cheese kebab for starters was amazing and it was cheeselicious, rabdi and ras malai for dessert was really fresh and tasty. They even have eat-in chat options; we tried aloo tikki chaat and papdi dahi chaat. It was too amazing. The combination of sweet and spicy and that crunch of aloo tikki and papdi really worked well as a combo. The butter milk here is pure bliss. It comes in two bottle sizes. 350ml and 650ml. All in all a delightful food experience. The restaurant usually has a waiting period. So expect a waiting duration of 15-25 minutes. Based on weekdays or weekends. Parking outside on road is also available

Location: Located near Utsav Chowk at Kharghar, this place is easily accessible by road or a 25-minute walk from the Kharghar railway station via the skywalk. Ambience: The ambience is soothing, which exhibits traditional Rajasthani vibes. Food: Full marks for the food. Even though they have multiple ordering options, their iconic dish is their Special Thali which is scrumptious. Do try out their special chapati, laden in ghee but probably the softest and most delicious chapati ever. Service: The place is prominent, which means there are long queues during peak hours, especially on weekends. They have a waiting area outside where you can wait after registering your name. Pricing: The food is by any means not cheap, but its taste pretty much justifies the price. Overall, an extremely positive experience and a must-visit place for vegetarians (or even non-vegetarians) to try out a traditional Western-Indian thali.

Bhagat Tarachand,Kharghar though visited for the first time it was worth it.I along with my dad initially had planned to visit some other eatery but we got a glance of this restaurant and we immediately changed our mind of going elsewhere. When entered the very first relief was that it was not too crowded being a weekday afternoon. The ambience and the interiors along with its lighting is pleasant. Not over designed which is good.Coming to food i would say that yes surely the preparation is good.Although we had ordered a basic thali but experiencing it i would say the other food preparation mentioned in their menu will be surely good. The quantity as well was surprisingly good enough as compared to other restaurants. Overall good service and good staff. If given a chance i would like to visit again.A recommendable restaurant.

Pros: -location of B.tarachand available in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai -food quality is good solid 4/5 -authentic north indian style food(thumbs up for that) -free street parking available -ample waiting area -service is alright 3.5/5 -gulab jamun was fantastic! :) Cons: -could feel "dairy-like" smell coming off of the glasses on table due to improper washing of glasses. -uncleaned onions with black thingy on them as if not washed (see photo). -sweet gravy/food is by default in their cooking or preparations (I personally don't like sweet taste in my savoury foods) as per Gujarati style of cooking. -I don't know whether tomatoes got expensive or they forgot to put tomatoes in raita, could only find countable pieces of tomato or its how it should be prepared.
