I visited Achija today after quite a few months and saying that I'm dissapointed would be an understatement. The food was absolute garbage. I ordered delhi chat which was basically mashed potatoes and curd, mixed with sewage water, veg crispy which was 2 out of 10 and 1 sweet lime soda which was so ridiculously sweet that I fear i wont be able to sleep because of the sugar rush. For maincourse we had an extremely dry roti that tasted like GRAVEL, along with paneer lababdar and mix veg. I am not exaggerating when I say these are the worst things I have ever had the sad misfortune to put inside on my tounge. It was extremely bland and both of them were made in the SAME gravy and tasted EXACTLY like each other. ABSOLUTELY no salt in BOTH curry's. And the slimey paneer was definitely not natural. We also ordered Pulao, thinking it would bring some flavor into the meal but wrong again! Pulao was just as flavorful as the tile on the walls of my toilet. No amount of salt could salvage this "culinary" abomination. Now, If I were to describe the service, these are the words I would use: Non- Existent.
Yes. Not a single waiter was near us while we were eating. Each time we wanted to order something else, we had to wait for the waiters to stop gossiping and turn their heads to acknowledge our incessant hollering, which mind you, was not a short time. But this was nothing compared to what happened next. 2 weird men randomly came to our table SAT DOWN with us and ORDERED food for themselves! One of these men SAT DOWN on the couch next to my daughter! who is a minor by the way and his FEET were TOUCHING hers! YES, on the SAME TABLE! It was very unsettling and we were quite shocked to say anything at all! We were obviously waiting for one of the staff to come and say something to them as there was more than enough place to sit in the non AC section. But no! At this point all waiters were looking at us, but none of them did anything! It was definitely the most uncomfortable situation I've ever been in a restaurant! We were going to order dessert for ourselves as well, but thought it too weird as their food had ALREADY started coming and 3 more people had joined them on our table and were talking quite loudly as if we were not sitting RIGHT next to them. It was very creepy indeed as the old man was completely sticking to my daughter at this point. We thought it wise to leave right then. We waited 10 mins outside the restaurant for our ride, and left extremely dissapointed. This was definitely the worst experience we ever had in a restaurant. On a side note I would like to add that achija is not exactly a cheap restaurant. And apart from the food, we chose this restaurant for good service and experience. Not creepy old men sliding into our seats and cozying up to my children. I advise you not to come to this restaurant at all unless you wish to be looted for food that tastes like stinky underwear and service which makes you feel like an insignificant pig in a...

We had a very disappointing experience at Achija Kharghar while celebrating my daughter's birthday dinner. Despite calling two days in advance to reserve seating for 22 guests(including senior citizens and kids), we were informed that reservations weren't needed and that we would be accommodated. However, upon arrival, our group was split up, with half of us seated in one area and the rest promised seats that never became available. To our frustration, those seats were given to other customers, leaving some of our guests without a place to sit.
When we raised the issue, the staff was rude and dismissive, offering no real solution and showing a complete lack of customer care. The manager was particularly unhelpful and insensitive, making the situation even more unpleasant. We had requested to store a birthday cake in their freezer, but it was mishandled and left on the counter, showing a lack of basic respect and consideration for our celebration.
The final straw was when they insisted we pay for snacks that were either not served or partially served. We had only consumed soup for which we asked for the bill but were still expected to pay for items we never consumed because of their insensitive behaviour. We paid the bill though without consuming it. This, along with the poor service and unprofessional behavior, led us to leave the restaurant mid-meal and find another place to dine.
Overall, Achija Kharghar failed in every aspect of service. The management and staff were rude, the service was disorganized, and our experience was ruined. I strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant, as there are many better options in Kharghar that offer courteous service and respect for their customers. This experience was a huge disappointment and completely...
Read moreFeedback Review for Achija Restaurant, Kharghar Sector 7, Navi Mumbai I have been a loyal customer of Achija for years, frequently visiting the Vashi outlet and having always enjoyed the food and service. When the Kharghar outlet opened, I was excited and started visiting regularly, averaging two visits a month, and have also ordered home delivery around 5-6 times in the last three months.
While the food quality in the restaurant has generally been good, I have noticed some disappointing trends:
In-Restaurant Experience: Rude Crowd Management: The behavior of the manager is unprofessional and rude. On multiple occasions, he has made unnecessary restrictions, such as not allowing us to sit at certain tables despite the restaurant not being full. For example: Being told, "You can't sit here" or "You can't use a table meant for six because you're only four people." This rigid attitude creates a negative impression and feels disrespectful to loyal customers. Food Delivery Issues: Declining Food Quality: Food delivered via Zomato or Swiggy is consistently disappointing in terms of quality. Each time, the meals lacked the freshness and taste that the in-house dining experience usually provides. It seems as though the restaurant prioritizes dine-in over delivery, which reflects poorly on their service commitment. As someone who regularly visits the restaurant and orders online, I hope the management takes this feedback seriously. A good dining experience goes beyond just food—it includes respectful service and consistent quality across all platforms.
I sincerely hope Achija Kharghar can address these concerns to maintain its reputation and loyal...
