This is a restaurant that has been on my bucket list for a long time, and now that I have done it, I have only few words- YES!

We visited on the 31st, which was probably why our table was near the door and the service was very slow. The crowd was thick, but atleast full of families.

We started out with the chicken manchow and lemon coriander soup. They were hot and flavourful, the rich broth seeping into our tongues. They did skimp on the chicken though, which was a shame.

For starters, we decided on the good old chicken tandoori. The chicken was soft and tender and everything I ever dreamed of, I finished it in mere minutes.

Our main course was something substantial- chicken lapeta and some thin rice rotis! The lapeta was a wonderful burst of flavours, a little spicy, a dash in tangy. You could actually taste all the spices they used and the meat just melts in your mouth.

We also ordered chicken biryani, which was simple and minimal, yet so charming.

To soothe our palates, we had some solkadi, which came in these really tall glasses. It was not very palatable but the cool relief was much appreciated.

However, the highlight was the icecream brownie with hot chocolate sauce which was a delight to eat. The hot, sizzling sauce poured over the ice-cold brownie made for an interesting attack on the senses. The brownie was not very sweet yet absolutely delicious and the icecream provided some cold relief from the sauce.

The ambience was good. The interior decor was quaint and chic with warm overtones that provided a brightening aura.

The waiters were polite enough, only the service was so so excruciatingly slow it was torture. But perhaps the fault lies with us for visiting on such a busy day.

The prices lie a little on the expensive side, so I would suggest only come with your family on special occasions.

I regret not trying the seafood selection,...

Just returned from Malvan Tadka, Kharghar after having dinner with my family, and I must say the experience was absolutely fantastic. This place is perfect for a family outing — clean, spacious, and with comfortable seating in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

First, let’s talk about the food — the seafood here is the real star. We ordered a few seafood special dishes, and every bite was bursting with fresh, authentic flavors. The seafood was perfectly cooked, the spices were balanced — not overly spicy, not bland — and the presentation was excellent. The crab, prawns, and surmai fish were all outstanding and truly memorable.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were polite, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. They checked on us at the right moments to make sure everything was fine. Orders were served quickly, and every dish arrived piping hot.

The ambiance is cozy and family-friendly, with soft background music and coastal Malvani-inspired décor that adds a relaxing touch.

If you’re a seafood lover, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Malvan Tadka, Kharghar. You’ll get 100% satisfaction in taste, quality, and service. I’m definitely going to become a...

We were a family of 5... Where in the menu, ambience, the staff is super se bhi bahut bahut upar....... I have given 4 stars for food just because being a Maharashtrian I know how does different cuisines of Maharashtra taste.... The Malvani prawn curry tasted too much like a South Indian prawn curry and not at all like a Malvani prawn curry..... Malvani prawns curry should taste like Malvani and not like South Indian... Our other ordered food items were mindblowing no complaints about those items...... I have gone to their all other outlets too but in none of the other outlets, does the prawn's malvani curry taste like a South Indian..... Maharashtrian food should stay and taste like Maharashtrian food and not like South Indian food please it's my genuine request....... As my 5-year-old kid was there with us... One of the restaurant staff upfrontly came and gave my child a plate of gulab jamun as a complimentary ..... Touched by this sweet gesture of the staff toward small kids...... Please try their crab soup it's is really...

Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended for Large Groups We recently visited Malvan Tadka, Kharghar with a group of 12 people after booking a big table in advance, expecting a good seafood experience. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be extremely disappointing. Despite the crowd, the restaurant clearly failed to manage service and food quality. The dishes served were below average and compromised in taste, likely due to the overwhelming number of customers. There was no proper service – staff were either missing or completely unresponsive. It was chaotic and unorganized throughout. The manager was indifferent, unprofessional, and showed no concern for the poor experience. Even the waiters looked frustrated, and there was a complete lack of coordination or accountability. If you're planning to visit with family or in a large group expecting good seafood and decent service, Malvan Tadka is not the place to go. It’s highly overhyped and poorly managed. Save your money and time – look elsewhere.

My family visited this place and ordered a variety of food like Butter Chicken, Chicken Hakka Noodles, Solkadi, Dosa, Kebab Platter and Chicken Manchow Soup. Portioning of Butter Chicken is quite less compared to other restaurants but nevertheless tasted good. Soup was pretty good too. Noodles also tasted good. Solkadi was ok, not so great, have had better. Platter was not so good, I wouldn't recommend. Pieces were too dry but the worst part was the service. They offer complimentary dessert at the end and they offered us Aamras which we don't have so we returned and asked them for the replacement but they denied. Bill was around Rs.3000. They could have easily replaced it with anything else but they simply refused and took it back which was soo disappointing. You guys clearly do not value your customers which is sad. Anyhow, consider this to be our last visit!
